Music & Poetry Challenge - The Brewer

There once was a hobbit, with hair on his feet.

All day and all night, he loved brewing mead.

Mixing honey and water, he adds some mead yeast.

A handful of spices, he leaves it for weeks.

Decanting to bottles, so proud of his work,

He samples his efforts, before inserting a cork.

Stacking bottles in crates, and loading his wagon,

Hitching his pony, off to the Green Dragon.

His bottles are stacked, atop the bar.

And halflings come to drink, from near and afar.

Filling flagons and tankards, all drunk to the bottom

Served by the beautiful barmaid, fair Rosie Cotton.

So in the Hobbiton Shire, at the Bywater Inn,

Murivór or mead, imbibed within.

The patrons all cheer, merrily draining their goblets.

And thus ends the tale, of the mead brewing Hobbit!
