Frankie Stein is a character from Monster High, which is a variety of several animated movies, two shows, two live action movies, and countless lines of dolls.

In Generation 3 of Monster High, which debuted on October 6th 2022 as a Live Action Movie on Paramount, Frankie was introduced to be an openly Non-Binary person.

Frankie is played by Ceci Balagot, who is a trans male who goes by He/They. In an interview with Ceci, he stated that he wished he could’ve had someone like Frankie to look up to as a kid and hopes that people feel more comfortable with themselves with Frankie as a character.

G3 Frankie in general is a huge comfort character for me. They’re funny, super relatable, a bit awkward, but have a huge heart. They’re always quick to provide help and comfort to the best of their capabilities to their friends and they are just such a wholesome character.

It’s also a plus that Ceci Balagot plays Frankie because I’m unironically in love with him :pensive:

I’m glad that Frankie was made to be Non-Binary because it kind of just makes sense with them being a frankenmonster.

One of my least favorite things about G3 is the fact that all of my generation seems to hate it. Most of the people I’ve seen judging G3 are people who haven’t even watched it. It’s funny, it’s cute. I mean, people were mad about how different it was, but Mattel has stated several times that G3 was in a different universe. I’ve seen people get mad and say it’s too kiddish, but like, it’s meant for 7 years olds. Mattel and Nickelodeon didn’t make G3 for the Adults that grew up watching G1. I feel like a lot of them

forget that.

Regardless of everyone’s view points, I love G3, and Frankie especially.

It’s very inclusive and entertaining. It’s really adorable and it’s a great comfort show.
