What I Like Everything!
Dislike No dislikes. None at all.

These are a few apps you can use that I really recommend, whether it be for charity work, volunteering, or self-help. They’re 100% free so no need to worry about money!

The app Be My Eyes is specifically designed for volunteers to help blind people virtually; or, if you are partially blind/have vision issues and can’t see as well as you should, you can sign up to get help from seeing people.

You answer a call from someone who needs help, and usually it’s stuff like “which one of these cardigans is red?” “Which can is the beans?” “Where’s my scarf?” It doesn’t take more than a few minutes, and you help someone in the end so it’s a win-win situation.

Please consider volunteering!

All you do is a photo of whatever you want, choose a cause, and post the pic. Once you do so, the company Johnson & Johnson donates $1 USD to charities such as Save the Children and Operation Smile. By using this app, you can help fund a child’s surgery, or help a newborn breathe. Only takes 2 minutes out of your day.

This app encourages you to exercise for charity. All you do is start an exercise, and press finish when you’re done. You’ll contribute to raising money for foundations like ALS Association, Stand Up To Cancer, and Habitat for Humanity.

An app for mental health, controlling anxiety, helping with depression, relaxing, meditating, and aiding in a better sleep routine, Calm delivers on all levels possible. Listen to stories to help you fall asleep, soft and soothing music to your choice, audio tapes for meditation or anxiety, and a breathing exercise to help you ground yourself. Truly a beautiful app.

*Although the app is free, you’re only given a basic level of what you can do. Some aspects are free unlocking hip requires a subscription.

An app based on peer for those with mental health issues, struggles they want to share with others, private messaging, and especially an LGBT community. Can make posts anonymously if you want for privacy. Share your troubles and help others. You will get the you need, I promise.

This post is pretty old, but for anyone looking back at it like me, I use a search engine/browser called Ecosia that's free to , but uses profits from ads and links and such to plant trees! It's basically the same as Google, but for a good cause :)
