Lights

The light seems a bit dimmer now, a light bulb losing its power. The strength the light once gave me dims with the light. My hope flickers like the light as it holds onto the last bit of electricity it can find only to dim further as the power dwindles. And then all at once, a few more flickers and then.. nothing. All light suddenly disappears, never to be seen.

You see, you can change out the light bulb, and then you’ll have light again. Brighter than before. But what happens when it’s not the light that goes out, but the electricity? It’s hard to fix an electric current, and it’ll never be the same if you do. There will always be that anxiety that the light will go out again. You think that maybe a candle or lamp might do better.. but it’ll never be the light like before.

This isn’t really about lights.. is it?
