Hello and welcome to this week's #Takeover

about LGBT Streamers!

In this post, I'll be talking about Scott Smajor.

I will start this post off with a brief general

description who Scott Smajor is and his history.

I will then move on to talk about his Minecraft

SMP series and Minecraft Championship.

I would also like to mention that I have never

watched this person's content, so if I make any

mistakes, please feel free to correct me in the

comment section or add additional information

that might be interesting to know!

Scott Major is a Scottish YouTuber and Twitch

streamer. Online he is known under the

names "Dangthatsalongname",

"Scott Smajor", "Smajor1995", or simply

"Smajor". He was born on the 10th of

November, 1995 in Scotland. He grew up with

his sister, and came out as gay in March 2018.

After high school, he studied 3D computer

animation in university and worked part-time

in retail.

His YouTube channel was started in July 2013

and the first video he ever posted on his channel

was "Trending Apps!". He began ing IRL

content before starting to move on to gaming

content in January 2014. His channel currently

follows a daily schedule.

Currently he lives with Jack Manifold, who is

also a YouTuber and Twitch streamer, in

Brighton, England.

Smajor usually streams several times a week,

but he doesn't have a set streaming schedule.

Smajor posts a variety of games, but mainly

focuses on Minecraft and Sims. He has created /

played in many SMP (Survival Multiplayer)

Servers. Let's take a brief look at them.

X Life

The SMP X Life was created by Smajor.

The players on the server start with one heart

and the objective is to survive with 10 lives.

If the player loses a life, one heart gets added

to the player's health. Once a player loses all

10 lives, they are eliminated from the server.

In this SMP, Smajor was a member of the "Witch

Coven", a group that formed on the server.

Empires

This is another SMP that Smajor was a part of

with currently two seasons. The objective of

this SMP is to establish an empire and then

trade goods and resources with other empires.

Empires can also wage wars against each other.

During the first season, Smajor established the

Rivendell Empire, an elven-themed empire

located in high snowy mountain terrain.

In the second season, Smajor founded a

rainbow-themed empire called "Chromia". It's

located in a hilltop meadow. During this season,

he played as an eccentric collector as well as

adventurer and was mainly in charge of dye

exports.

Afterlife

This SMP is a sequel to the X Life SMP. It keeps

the original ruleset with the 10 lives, but there's

some other added things like the Origins mod,

which gives each player an "origin". "Origins" are

based on Minecraft mobs and they include

special abilities, and traits that can be either

positive, neutral or negative. If a player loses a

life, they will obtain a new random Origin, which

they can re-roll 3 times in total.

3rd Life / Last Life / Double Life

These SMPs were created by "Grian" and

Double Life is what the third season is refered

to. The players each get three lives and become

hostel in their last life, known as their "red" life.

There is a border surrounding the world and

only one enchanting table. For this season,

each player was also randomly assigned a

"soulmate", which they share a health bar with.

Smajors Soulmate was "PearlescentMoon".

The Minecraft Championship is a Minecraft

Tournament run by the "Noxcrew". YouTubers

and Streamers are put into ten teams of four

each and have to work together to

compete in a series of eight minigames.

After each round, the point multiplier increases,

which makes games played later worth more.

The game played is decided by all the

participants through a vote.

The two teams with the most points at the end

will face off in a round of "Dodgebolt" to decide

the winner. Dodgebolt is an elimination game

where both teams shoot arrows at each other

to try and eliminate the other players.

Smajor is the event coordinator as well as team

organiser for the MCC.
