- Butterflies symbolize transformation, since they go through metamorphosis. Butterflies are occasionally used to represent transitioning from one's assigned gender to another. In a way, changing from one's original form into a new beautiful form, leaving behind the old and living as it's true form as it matures. The colors are from the trans flag which will be further explained below.

- White Roses symbolize new beginings. I used them to symbolize how transitioning is like starting again. A new begining with a new outlook. White can also symbolize nonbinary, intersex, and the process of transitioning in the context of the trans flag.

- Pinecone staff and a goblet are symbols of Dionysus. Dionysus is a Greek god of wine, fruits, fertility, festivities, and theatre. Dionysus is often associated with the LGBT community because they often are shown dressing effeminately as well as having male lovers. Dionysus holds a pinecone staff for prosperity and a goblet for happiness and abundance. It is a goal in life to have happiness and prosperity, eventually ruling out hatred and oppression.

- Snakes symbolize many things, but I used a snake to symbolize transformation. Snakes symbolize transformation due to shedding their old skin in order to have fresh new scales. Snakes represent shedding the old ways to embrace the new. The color green is also related to new beginnings as well as the yellow. Transitioning is a new beginning that involves shedding the old (old names/old clothes/old appearance/etc) to embrace one's true gender.
- Phoenix is a mythical bird which will burn itself in its flames and be born again from the ashes. The Phoenix represents rebirth. In a way, being born again by embracing one's true gender identity. The colors are from the non-binary flag. Yellow represents being outside male and female. White represents people who identify with all genders. Purple represents people in-between male and female or a combination. Black represents agenders.

- Comets are occasionally used to represent nonbinary identities. Gender symbols are often modeled after symbols for planets (men♂=mars♂ and women♀=Venus ♀). Comets are a part of the solar system, but they are not planets. The comets represent how nonbinary is not male or female, but its own thing. The non-binary flag is behind the comets. Yellow represents genders outside of the binary, white represents people who identify with all genders, purple represents people who identify as a combination of in-between male and female, and black represents agenders.
- Cubes were used in 1996 by Raphael Carter to represent androgyny. Androgyny is when someone or something is between feminine and masculine. The shape of the cube can make it appear one way or the other when looking at it. A cube can appear concave or like a solid box. I used the colors of the androgyny flag to color them. While being androgynous does not mean that someone is trans, the idea of breaking traditional gender roles is. The act of transitioning involves rejecting the assigned gender role.
-The transgender symbol is a combination of a male symbol, female symbol, and a non-binary symbol. The background is the transgender flag. The colors of the trans flag are baby blue and baby pink that represent a "rebirth" into the preferred gender. The white represents non-binary, intersex, and the process of transitioning.

- Resurrection plants (Selaginella lepidophylla) are plants that can survive harsh environments. They are able to survive while dried up, and they will "resurrect" when given water. I used them to represent rebirth, being able to become one's true self and flourish.

Lots of animals shed their skin. Is there any other particular reasons why you chose a snake?
Yeah, I was inspired by the Celtic snake symbol. I tried to be more blunt because I felt like I was having trouble trying to define complex feelings and ideas  . Anyway, the Celtic snake represents many things: creation, transformation, rebirth, infinity, etc. I think that I saw many of those attributes as important in the lives of a trans person: transformation to a new way of living, creation of a new identity, and a rebirth. Another thing that went into it was just for a design element, where I thought that a snake appears mythical enough to stand next to a Phoenix and not look out of place
