I hope you're having a good day, and if not, I hope the pain eases soon. Growth and reinvention are a major part of going through life and maturing. So I thought I'd dive into a little bit of what they mean to me.

I want to change. I don't want to feel this way anymore. I want to fix the fractures I carry.

But I don't just want to glue myself back together. I want to fix myself with gold. I want to be fixed like ancient times, where if a pot broke they pieced them back together and painted the cracks gold. The fixing of the pot was something that maid it special.

Right now I'm shattered into what feels like a million pieces. But I want to put myself back together.

I want to see the world through a new light. I want to have a better personality. I want to redefine what people know me as.

◣━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━◢

Growth is so beautiful. Watching someone you've known grow into the person they've always had the potential to be… I want other people to see me do that.

I was told when I was a kid that I hated change and couldn't handle it. But I want to change so much. All the time. I'm sick of being me, the depressed kid, all the time. So I'm desperate for a reinvention.

Start from scratch, and redo it all.

So I chose to redo my Amino. I redid my bio, and completely changed my aesthetic. I changed my profile picture to my favorite color, my favorite book character, and a dainty, beautiful, flower border. I changed my name to a cute font.

◣━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━◢

And I decided maybe I'll start taking a name. Rather than just a name, I'll provide a piece of my soul. So how about this: call me Ace.

It's not my actual name, but it's a name that has meaning to my nonetheless. My mother named me, but Ace is the name my dad would have liked to give me, and my dad means a lot to me.

So yeah, it's a little bit of a reinvention. Let's get real. I want to be a good person. And I want to extend an olive branch. Nice to meet you. You can call me Ace. It's a nickname. I hope we can be friends. Because I'm done isolating myself.
