’Why are you up at the window?’

His little face was pressed against it.

‘Huddi, I need to dress you. Why are you up there?’ She was puzzled, until it hit her. ‘Do you like the real light?’

The little boy pulled his face from the warm rays before replying,

‘Yes I do!’

‘Mm.’ His sister agreed, she ed him at the window. ‘I’ve always liked it better than fake lights-‘ She pointed to the bathroom light, which was off- ‘They’re gross.’

The little boy nodded.

‘Huddi can you smell that?’ She inhaled deeply before continuing. ‘Rain,-‘ She sounded distant, at peace-‘The rain smells so nice.’

The little boy copied, smelling the sweet aroma also.

This little story is derived off an event from today.

Essentially after I had finished showering my youngest brother, he wandered to our bathroom windowsill. He wasn’t listening to me, he was very distracted.

My little brother’s head works more different than you or I.

Instead of yelling at him (Yelling doesnt make sense to me tbh- ‘n it doesnt work with him.) I simply asked him questions and ed him.

(The background pic is of our bathroom in some gorgeous lighting  - I’ll attach add it to the post.)
