Hello! I decided to in on this! So, I decided on this theme because although I’ve been a lesbian for a while, I’ve only began embracing that part of me recently because I was dysphoric about being associated with femininity as a non-binary person, but now, I really love the label. It suits me well. I also have a darker color palette because that’s my style. I love pride so much, but all the bright colors are a bit much on my eyes, so I decided to tone down the colors to suit me better.

The name is based off Girl in Red. Since “kid” is the gender neutral counterpart to girl and I mostly wear black, I decided that would be optimal.

I chose that specific quote by Marsha P. Johnson because she is truly an icon and an inspiration for our community. She also led the riot at Stonewall, which, is exactly what we need. We need a revolution in the current times with the amount of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, and so many people are opting for peace. Peace won’t make those against us respect us; it just makes them see that we can be walked all over. We can’t stand for it.
