How did you decide on a specific medium/art form for your picture?

- Poetry has been a big part of my life. It’s my ion and the only way I can do in order to express my feelings and thoughts. Through poetry, the one thing that connects my heart and soul, I want to share my experiences that could probably give enlightenment to other people. Lightbulbs may seem insignificant, but you can relate to it when in comes to different perspective in life. Will you let the darkness dominate you, or keep the small yet reliable light ignited and alive?

Is there a meaning or a reason behind your piece?

- Most of us have forgotten the most important thing in living; and that is the love we have for ourselves. We often forget that hope was born from the thought that true love begins from loving yourself. To love somebody, you need to be able to pick up your scattered pieces and learn how to love every part of you. Because we often hide ourselves behind a mask and act dishonest due to the fact that we hate who we are and we wish to be somebody else, desperate to be loved. But those things only lead to farewell. I want to remind everyone that you can lose everyone, but never yourself.

Tell us about the process of creating your piece. (eg. materials & time taken, thought process, etc.)

- To be honest, I was hesitant at first. Because my mind was in chaos and even though my mind was flooded with countless of thoughts, I can’t seem to focus on one thing. So I wasn’t sure about doing the challenge. I always strive to be in good shape when I write because it’s the purest art I can ever do. I don’t want my words to be pretentious and dishonest just because it’s required. And I was confused on what subject/topic to choose, even though the light bulb caught my attention from the very start. But just now, I suddenly felt euphoric (it may be my moodswings or whatever) and these words automatically appeared in my head. And after two hours of typing and editing, it’s finally done. So yey! ^o^
