While there are some protesters who simply wish to cause harm to the other side, this is simply not the case.

Many protestors were simply trying to have a peaceful protest when it got hijacked by other groups or by people who did not really care about the cause, who were simply there because they wanted an excuse to riot. There are even some cases where the police were the ones to start the violence to make the protestors look worse.

If you look anywhere online you will see countless videos of protestors trying to protect stores and stop looting, or even trying to protect police in some cases.

While you will always have your Jake Paul's, who will sue this as an excuse to loot making the cause look worse, you also have your thousands upon thousands of other protestors who are simply trying to make a change.

Don't ignore the many for the few.

Firstly, I would encourage you to ignore things you have heard about the founder of the movement and whatever beliefs they may have had. People often use the founder of these movements as an excuse to say "all of this movement are like this" when that simply isn't the case.

Black lives matter is simply fighting for equality between all races in America, and indeed internationally aswell.

Many of violent protests arranged in the name of Black Lives Matter weren't even organised by the actual movement and we're instead organised by others who had a more malicious intent. Some protests organised were called by the media "black lives matter" when they were for different reasons.

In addition to this, many people who are apart of black lives matter have set up and are sharing funds to help rebuild businesses that were destroyed in the riots. So again, please don't blame the many for the few.

Many police at the riots either used too much force or were the ones who started the violence in the first place.

In Minneapolis for example, many of the witness s and videos show that what was a peaceful protests when police started spraying tear gas and rubber bullets into the crowd - seemingly for no reason. In addition to this actions from the police seemed very malicious such as attacking those already injured and not allowing injured protesters to seek aid.

There are even theories suggesting that many of the looting and riots were started by and carried out by undercover cops. They suggest that these cops wore arm bands to show to other cops in the area that they weren't actual protesters. This however is unconfirmed.

In addition to this, other methods such as police trying to cover up what they did and trying to prevent protesters from buying milk (which reduces irritation from tear gas) suggest that it maybe wasn't the black and white "good cops, bad protesters" that some media were trying to push.

At the time of writing there are still many protests still goin on in America. In addition to this there are many protests planned in many major cities across the world, such as London, to show and also to address the issues in their own countries.

The media and police would like you to believe that they are over so that people stop going and posting about what has happened. So they show videos of cleanup going on where in many cities there are still protests that are being silenced.

So don't believe that the fight is over, just because of what you see online or on the news. everyone has their own agenda to push.

While this is the case the protests are about more then just George Floyd.

The men who stood around as George Floyd was being choked still have not faced charges. More then that many believe that Derek Chauvin did not get a high enough sentence to justify what he did.

More then this however, there are still many many many more cases then George Floyd's that need solving. George Floyd was just the straw that broke the camel's back so to speak.

Cases such as Breonna Taylor, who was shot by police in her home in Louisville, still go unpunished and without any justification. And people are not going to lie down and just accept that people are being killed like that.

The problem is much wider then just George Floyd. The problem people have is with systemic racism and a broken legal and police system that is looking to hurt those who aren't white. I'm sure we can all agree, this is a worthy cause.

I have been hearing many people, even those in the LGBT community, talk about how "they're sick of hearing about it" and how everyone should "just move on". This is very disappointing.

Us just "moving on" is the reason why these riots have gotten so big in the first place. Why innocent people continue to be shot and killed by an unfair system. Why, out of 104 unarmed police killings of black people in 2015, only 13 were charged.

I am esspecially disappointed hearing this from LGBT people. Black people all the way through have kept on ing us and helping us, so we should return the favor.

More then that but imagine if people had just moved on from talking about LGBT issues, we would still be facing deep discrimination and facing the problem of not being able to vote.

Until justice is served and the system can be changed, I don't see why the protesters should just "stop talking about it".

I'm glad you're spreading truth and actually looking into this. Some have been just hearing one thing while that may not be necessarily true, they base their entire opinion on that. I think this entire thing is here to make us angry and want to riot so it makes the entire movement look awful. Although I do not think all police are bad, I believe a lot of them are getting paid to do awful things, so they make us angry. I may believe this but, I also believe there are good police out there trying to stop riots, and defend the people. It truly upsets me that we let these awful people stay in power for so long. It also upsets me that before, I had no clue things were this bad. It's time to speak up! It also angers me that some people in the LGBTQ+ community are trying to ignore this. This is absolutely not the time to ignore what's happening to the world. To all those who try to ignore this think of it this way, if they are trying to take away black rights, what else are they going to take away. Gay rights? Trans rights? Women's rights? I read a poem about World War II once, it went something like this,:

"They went after the Jewish, I did nothing

They went after those who spoke up, I did nothing

They went after me, but there was no one to stand for me"

It reminds me of this because, even if you can't find it in your cold dark heart to stand up for people because it's the right thing to do, consider that if we let this slide you might have your rights taken away.

Don’t forget, the rioters aren’t actually a part of the peaceful protestors. They’ve slipped in CLAIMING to be a part of the cause, yet they’re only there to cause chaos. Some had proof that they were paid to riot, while others.. no one’s sure. Personally, however, and you can take this with a grain of salt or an entire handful, I think the rioters were paid by the media to create an interesting story such as the ‘deadly’ pot bull biting incidents, or the killer bees that.. didn’t really catch on, or COVID itself. Everything in the past year up until now has been orchestrated by the media to make things worse than they appear, and that MAY be the case here. However, AGAIN, that’s just how I see it. Don’t take it personally if we don’t see eye-to-eye, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on it too if you want to reply.

I've heard all sorts of things about the rioters. What I can day is I don't think it is the fault of the black lives matter movement.

It seems to be to be primarily people hijacking the protests for their own riot fantasies and looting because they can, not the actual protesters in most cases.

I wouldn't be shocked though if people were paid to make it look more interesting. There is a lot of shady stuff going on.

By the way, kind of unrelated, but please do not use milk for tear gas! It's not sterile and can cause serious infection. Baking soda diluted with water is much better
