Tell Us A Bit About Yourself

ฅ•ω•ฅWell y'all already know me a lil bit lmao. I live in Alabama and am the local rat mom. I just started my junior year and I'm excited for this new school year. I've been working hard being a part of this Amino for a while and I really enjoy my time here. A flaw about me would would probably be my BPD. I know that doesn’t count since I can't help my mental issues but sometimes it get's the better of me yknow?

Tell Us Why You Want To Be A Curator And What You Could Offer To The Team

ฅ•ω•ฅI have been a part of this amino for quite a while and enjoy being a part of staff so much. I love the teams I'm on and the feeling of making this community a more fun, and safer place. I feel like becoming a curator would be the next big step for me and my goal to do more for this community.

ฅ•ω•ฅOne of the best things I can offer is my general enthusiasm when it comes to this community. It means so much to me and I just want to keep helping the best way I can. And since I am already a part of two staff teams I have some experience and other staff memeber can know I am reliable.

Do You Have Any Prior Leader or Curator Experiences?

ฅ•ω•ฅYes, I was a curator on a smaller community (only around 50 people).

Have You Ever Broken A Community Guideline

ฅ•ω•ฅYes, but nothing incredibly serious. I made a post with an improper title and made 3 posts within 20 minutes.

ฅ•ω•ฅThey are currently lower than normal because I have been on hiatus. They are usually higher and past records can show that.

Scenario 1

ฅ•ω•ฅI have no time for trolls. If nobody else is online I would immediately work to ban the person spamming the feed, they take priority as the recent feed is more visible. I'd then move on and ban the trolls in chat. There is no reasoning with people who are simply around to cause trouble. Once I've taken the necessary actions and a leader is online I will inform them of what happened.

Scenario 2

ฅ•ω•ฅI would calmy try to explain to them how their post was not acceptable under the community guidelines. Personal insults would not affect me as they don't mean much coming from a stranger. If they are still upset with me and eant answers I'd direct them to a leader, inform them of the situation, and allow it to be handled.

Scenario 3

ฅ•ω•ฅI would firstly ask the to take the argument to the pms and let them settle it on their own. However if the argument has already escalated too far I will remove them from the chat and take further action as deemed necessary.

Scenario 4

ฅ•ω•ฅAs with troll, I genuinely have no time for people who are sexually harassing others. As long as the comes to me with proof I will immediately work to ban the person harassing them. There is absolutely no place in the Amino for people like that.

Scenario 5

ฅ•ω•ฅFirst of all, the chances of me getting into a fight with someone are slim to none. I generally like to avoid conflict with coworkers. However if it does happen I will remain calm and work to achieve common ground with them. I'd make sure to try and end it on a good note because I wouldn't want conflict to affect our working together.

Scenario 6

ฅ•ω•ฅAs with Scenario 5, the chances of me getting into a fight are slim to none. However if I did fight with a leader I would state my case and try to reach common ground. If we still don't agree I will listen to them as they have far more experience and i understand that they know what they're doing and what's best for the community.

Scenario 7

ฅ•ω•ฅIf a member is posting about sensitive topics I would handle the situation accordingly. If the post is mild in nature or they are simply sharing information I will ask the to add a trigger warning at the beginning. However if the blog depicts graphic or gory content I will immediately disable the post as it breaks community guidelines.

Scenario 8

ฅ•ω•ฅI would take the information to a leader. I would not attempt to ask the staff member in question because it could cause unnecessary conflict. In a situation like that it is best to allow someone of greater experience to handle it.

Scenario 9

ฅ•ω•ฅI would immediately screenshot then work to disable posts and remove chats. I would then try to the s privately and figure out if the have a valid reason for being upset with staff. However they respond I will take the information to a leader and let them decide how to handle it as it can be a tricky situation. But if the is flat out using personal attacks or insults in their posts/chats I will ban them as bullying is not permitted.

Scenario 10

ฅ•ω•ฅI would immediately screenshot and take the information to the leader best fit to handle the situation. Like if an editor team memeber was leaking information, I would take it to Nat as she is best fit to deal with the member accordingly.
