My Curator Application huhu

Usually I'd post poems but here is something a little different. As you know I am Sias! I am an aspiring Nurse and Doctor. Right now I am studying in my dream pre-med course which is Nursing! I believe I was born to take care of others and it is perfect who I am as a person. Everyone deserves care, and everyone is capable of caring so let's share positive vibes! Encourage each other to stay in good health!

Honestly thought I spent more time on here huhu but I finally found a way to find my stats!

2)Make sure you are 15+ years old. This is due to mature content you will need to deal with. We will NOT accept anyone younger.

3) Please make sure you are ready for this commitment! This is an important job for you guys to do.

In everything I do there is the 3 C's. Comion, Commitment and Competence. Only natural for my be committed something that will be important.

4)We are looking for Professionalism. This is a job that consists of being mature and handling mature situations.

I have handled a lot things of before, when I was 16/17 I was appointed Vice President of Human Resources/Head in Human Resources in a student run company. Currently I'm an executive officer from my college student council so I tend to deal with people a lot. It's in my future to be professional and mature as future RN,/MD.

Tell us a bit about yourself include your flaws.

A flaw about myself is I tend focus on my the more important stuff that is relevant to my life and sometimes I find it hard to balance everything that is seemingly important. However, I took a few steps in improving myself earlier this year to better manage myself and my time on everything that is important to me and I can see I am way more organised than I was before

Tell us why you would like to be a curator, what you can offer the team and community.

As well as why we should choose you.

I have vast array of experience before. I don't think I have met much people who can say they were running human resources at 16. I was the president and or vice-president of many student organisations in my high school and currently I have a council position in the highest student governing body within my college. I have been a for various servers on the application called Discord and for I believe 2. I'm currently studying in the Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and as student nurse and future RN, MD I know how important it is to be part of a team that can collaborate well, communicate well, implement action well both individually and together. I will take this experience the same as if it were my patients lives on the line.

Explain your personality a bit to us.

I'm generally a goodie two shoes huhu. I am very kind, forgiving and loving person as why I picked nursing as my course. I consider myself to be a seeker of knowledge because the more I know, the more I can do for someone else. When the going get's tough, often times people will seek me out because I am great listener. When thing's get serious, I of course understand the situation and become more serious but still remain understanding and respecting of things. Emotions rule my decisions however now that I have started to think more logically about things to become more rational. Overall my peers see me as a pretty awesome guy huhu.

Scenarios

1.

You are the only one online. There has been a small swarm of trolls that have just entered the community. 1 is spamming the feed and the other spamming chats with inapropriate content. What is your course of action?

Naturally I can't handle the situation on my own, I will ask one of my fellow teammates to tone down the situation for either one. I will aid in that but confronting the trolls privately explaining nicely that what they're doing is not appropriate. In short a warning. If they don't comply then I will be forced to take some action on suggesting a ban or disabling their posts.

2.

You have disabled a post for being considered spam. They are not happy, and are starting to harass you and call you names. How do you handle the situation?

I'll explain them the rules and guidelines of this Amino, what they have violated. I will hear them if they can justify it. If they fail to do so that I will respectfully tell them and or apologize that they will remain disabled until the appropriate amount of time has ed.

3.

You are moderating a chat/post, and you see an altercation between 2 or more . What's your course of action?

I will suggest either to remind them to not get their emotions out of hands or take it to more personal areas that aren't as public. If it worsens then I will have refer it to my teammates first before implementing any punishment.

4.

A member is asking for your help with a situation in their PMs about someone asking sexual/innapropriate things and or sending them. They have evidence to their claim. What do you do?

I advise them to block that person. If they keep getting PMs from seemingly similar s then I suggest that that member make a new their self or to continually block. I will also apologize to that member for what they experienced. Sexual harassment in any form to me is just so wrong so I will be very understanding in their situation as well and try to help them cope with things if ever.

What would you do if you had a fight with another curator?

Rule of 10. Take 10 seconds to think logically before I do another action. Apologize to that curator for being irrational and hope that we come to equal .

What would you do if you had a fight with a leader?

The same would be for curator but I honestly think this is highly unlikely unless I know they are clearly violating rules too.

7.

What would you do if a member has been posting about sensitive topics, such as suicide, or depression?

I would let person know other alternatives where they can share their thoughts, where they could get helped if they are actually depressed and kindly them to refrain from posting such things and help them in coping in others way.

8.

You get a report a member of staff is abusing their power how would you approach this situation

I will refer first to my fellow team on whether this is true or not, then I would investigate myself and or put up the situation towards the leaders. I will discuss with that member or staff in a respectful way reminding them of their powers and the rules that have been put in place. If they so happen to continue then I will be forced to it on to whoever is higher than me to implement action.

You see a chat/post with people saying negative things about staff/a certain staff member what do you do?

Investigate the problem to see if their is actually a problem with that member and if not I will remind those involved that this type of post is inappropriate and that if you have any problems you can other staff/.
