I The Day

I the day

I how it felt as my life slowly dwindling away

The voices stopped yelling

As my heart slowly stopped beating

I knew everything was gonna be okay

As my eyes begin to close I smiled

I woke to bright light

I looked around I see nothing

The darkness surrounded me I felt …..nothing

It was finally quite

I began walking as I did I felt my memories slowly beginning to fade away

Then I saw a hand, I began to walk to it…

I felt my heart jolt

The hand is further was away, I continued walking

Another strong jolt, the hand-kept getting further away

I begin to run…..but then another jolt

My eyes open to blinding ceiling light ;

My eyes adjust

I know where I am, I can hear the EKG beeping

I can hear the sobbing

Unfortunately, I can also hear the voices in my head yelling

“YOU HAD ONE JOB….SEE AND YOU COULDN’T EVEN DO IT…WHAT'S THE POINT OF YOU BEING HERE”
