Golden Lights

Where did all the time go

Where did all the days go

I miss it when I woke with you

And I saw the golden flash on you

And I wish I could see

Your eyes looking at me

I want to know

Just one last time

That you’re mine

But the sun has set

And your eyes are closed

I miss the times

When you were here

But now you’re gone and all is clear

When the lights are twinkling

So high above

I wish upon a star for you

But I couldn’t

You’re gone

And I can’t help but lay awake

Until the break of day

Missing when I woke with you

When the golden rays shine on you

When your skin was glowing

And it’s all I could see

When your eyes shine so bright

When they shine for me
