14 of History’s Hidden Lesbians

This post is feature worthy because it contains interesting information about the LGBT+ community. I haven't heard of the facts included in the post myself yet and haven't seen any similar post around either so I think it is a good example of a refreshing post for the feature page that hasn't been seen that often yet.

There are pictures included making the post look nice and it is formated well.

This post is feature worthy because it is a well written poem, showing the feelings and thoughts of the author. People might be able to relate to the wording which makes it attractive as a post.

The aesthetics also fit together well, the theme obviously being black. Good choice in pictures.

This post is feature worthy because it is a great contribution to the Marvel Challenge that has been going on this week. It is very informational about the character and overall the questions required to be answered were included. A great execution of a challenge post with good choice of aesthetics. Making the background the same colour as the image/title backgrounds was a good choice and looks very nice!

6. Please describe what you think makes a post feature worthy.

There are different aspects to consider when checking if a post is feature worthy:

Content

Things such as informative topics, well written poems or stories have a higher change of getting featured. Content should be relatable to of this community.

The content in a blog should include good grammar, a reasonable length of the post and high-quality images.

Diversity

Content and posts that have already been seen a lot lately should not be featured at the same time or right after. The feature page should include a balance between creative posts such as art posts/poems, information posts and challenge entries. Quizzes are also a great way to spice the feature page up. New topics that haven't been seen much have higher chances to be featured.

Aesthetics

A feature worthy post should have at least a little bit of aesthetic in it. Such as, pictures, using the different functions of blog making (like bold, centred or italics) and headers / borders to make a post presentable.

6. Most importantly, why do you want to be apart of this team?

I want to be part of the team, because I already know from my past history in staff, that it’s a great way to find new friends and help the community. I want to do more for this app again and think that this is a great way of doing so, while helping other to get their posts featured. I love making posts myself so I know how amazing it feels to be featured and seen, so I want to help others to achieve the same.

Scenarios

1.) If you see a post that maybe feature worthy but not quite there yet, how would you proceed with fixing it?

I would text the person who made the post, telling them that we would like to feature their post but it would need some changes. I would then tell them how they can make their post feature worthy and help them doing so if needed.

2.) What types of blogs, in your opinion, do you not feature?

Generally, posts that are against guidelines in any way or that do not meet the conditions of being feature worthy such as having no pictures or not being well written. Posts such as the 30 day LGBT+ challenge for example.

3.) How would you handle a post that can be triggering?

I would message the person who made the post, telling them to put a trigger warning at the beginning of their post. If it’s too triggering to some or they refuse to do so, I would not suggest it to be featured, or if it is over the top triggering I would report it to a curator/leader.

4.) What do you do, if a member doesn't respond to your offer, for featuring their post? (For example, you need them to fix something. You message them and they don't respond.) What do you do?

I would save the post for later in case they do respond and look for other posts to feature instead.
