Poem

Captured

Sitting in the grass on my favorite blanket

The sun is going down but I don’t want to go in yet, I am content where I am

The wind picks up out of nowhere, the pages of the book I am reading turn, this sudden change scenery leaves me disoriented

I get up slowly and blink

Some time goes by, an hour or maybe two

It is now me again getting ready for bed, I stare into the mirror as I comb my hair

All I can think about is how far away from my body I feel, how nothing ever really feels real

My point of view changes often, I am as fragile as a dandelion, one gust of wind can change everything

I get into my bed and I don’t sleep right away, I have someone flashing poor memories into my head as try to fall sleep, I have another person telling me how awful I was today that

Then there is the constant battle with your mind

The common question of “Is this actually real?”

No need to spiral now, your trauma is real and valid

I close my eyes, finally somehow I can feel peace and drift off to sleep

DID/OSDD Information

There are three separate DID conditions, they are DID, OSDD-1a and OSDD-1b. DID is full amnesia between switches, OSDD-1a is not completely DID and does have amnesia, OSDD-1b experiences no amnesia between switches. All are formed from heavy trauma in childhood, all cannot be treated on your own, you will need some type of trauma therapy or regular therapy in order to live an average life.
