It is dee here!!

I am here to share with you what has become one of my favorite novels of all time! This book is extremely complicated (or it was for me at least) and its explanation can start anywhere, so i'll try to start in a good place. It may be a bit lengthy, so please bear with me!!

The Winter People is a novel that tells the tale of the town of West Hall, Vermont. A town that was home to many strange mysteries and tragedies and strange mysterious tragedies. One of its mysteries was the multiple disappearances that happened throughout the towns time. Another mystery, and the one that could be considered the biggest, was the story of what really happened to Sara Harrison Shea and her family.

Sara Harrison Shea was a special woman who resided in West Hall, Vermont with her husband and her daughter. Sara had experience so much loss in her life, with one of the experiences being with the only child that she was able to bear (the daughter that was mentioned previously). Later after her daughter's death (which the cause of remained a mystery), she unfortunately ed, and that remained a mystery as well.

The novel follows a new family that now lives where Sara and her family lived and it switches perspectives between the new family and Sara herself through old diary pages (she tells her story in old diary pages). Together, these two perspectives come and tell the true story of what truly happened to Sara and her family and it solves some of the other mysteries along the way.

This particular novel was and is really important to me because I found it in a time when I found it really hard to read. I had lost all motivation, which was heartbreaking because reading is something special to me. Once I picked up this book I was not able to put it down and I've been into reading spooky stories ever since, including Coraline!! I absolutely love this book and I recommend it to anyone who loves horror, spooky stories, and mysteries!!

I rate this book 5/5 stars just because of how the story is told and the story itself. It was a bit hard to follow at first, but everything came together in the end and it caused so many realizations. Just when I thought I knew something I found out that I didn't and I loved that!
