The plant that I chose is pandan, a tropical plant native to Southeast Asia, also known by its scientific name as Pandanus Amaryllifolius.
I'd say that it is a fairly known plant in Southeast Asia, and I personally see it everyday, but I'm still quite amazed by this particular plant.

where i found it
• My grandmother grows them, along with a number of other plants, in a space in front of her house cleared just for that purpose. My dad likes to use it as a natural fragrance, so sometimes he puts a bunch of them in the room so it smells better at night.

does the plant bear fruit? is it poisonous?
• Pandan does not bear fruit and it is not poisonous. Essentially, it is just a bunch of leaves.
• Pandan is widely used in cuisine in Southeast Asia. It is used as a green coloring, flavouring agent, and an ingredient to give the food a fragrant smell. It is also used as a natural air freshener, so ultimately, it's key wonder is it's fragrance.
