I've seen a few of you guys talking about wanting binders and wanting to know how to get them and wear them. I looked up how, so here's some tips. I'll cite my sources down below, and share two videos from YouTube that are gr8 as well.

Can I wear a binder?
Anyone can wear a binder. Binders are worn for various reasons. Reducing chest dysphoria, cosplays, and more. It's not just a "trans" or "genderqueer" thing. Many cisgirls wear binders too! It's perfectly fine and acceptable, so don't feel weird.
How do I bind safely?
Bind less than 8 hours a day! Try to take breaks from binding throughout the day. Binding for too long at once can cause difficulty breathing, back pain, skin irritation, and the breaking down of skin tissue.
It's also important to never sleep with your binder for that same reason.
If there's ever pain, take it off- it's your body's way of telling you that something isn't right.
Also, NEVER bind with ace bandages or duct tape. These hinder your ability to breathe and move. Ace bandages are designed to tighten as you move, and that can cause damage to your ribs, they can bruise you, and cause immense pain. It's NOT worth it.
What types of binders are there?

Vest binders are binders in the style of a vest.
Pro-Tip: Point5CC.Com says: "depending on your style of binder (especially full-length or mid-length styles), it might be easier to put it on by stepping into it rather than pulling it on like a regular t-shirt. Stick your feet in between the shoulder straps and pull it up your body to your chest, then stick your arms through the holes."
Are there risks that come with binding?
Yes. Binding comes with health risks. Binders can cause back pain, over heating, chest pain, shortness of breath, bad posture, shoulder pain, itchiness, skin changes/infections, acne, swelling, scarring, breast tenderness/changes, digestive issues, abdominal pain, heart burn, respiratory infections, coughing, dizziness, weakness, fatigue, headaches, numbness, muscle wasting, popping of shoulder ts, rib/spine changes, and/or rib fractures.
However, binding has found to help with confidence, dysphoria, and anxiety. Also keep in mind that many of the risks listed can result from misuse of binders/binding. If you ever do feel pain, it is important that you do take it off immediately. It's your body's way of telling you there's something wrong.
I can't get a binder. Are there any alternatives?
Yes, there are alternatives to binders. You can wear sports bras, which are designed to move with your body rather than just compressing your chest, so I recommend that rather than bandages. You can even wear multiple at once, but make sure you don't over do it. You can also wear multiple shirts, wear tight clothing, pantyhose, smaller swimsuits, and other things.

I never realized there was long sleeve binders.
Me neither until I looked them up xD
Kovu i love you XD
Can I expect any long term issues, or any future surgical complications from binding up to 10-11 hours in a day occasionally? I’m in theater and sometimes I bind longer when I stay after school for rehearsals.
My friend suffered from broken ribs when he binded for 14 hours
