An Open Letter to my Future Partner

Dear you,

Just like other people say and think... maybe you are with somebody else right now, maybe you are unrequitedly in love with a friend of yours, or maybe you are also waiting for your special someone to come – maybe you are waiting for me, too.

In the future, you'll see how clingy I am. There won't be a day when I'm not gonna shower your face with kisses. I won't sleep without hugging you. And you will receive random texts and calls from me just to tell you that I miss you.

Also, I am a cry baby. I may look tough outside but inside, I am soft. I cry over small things like movies, music, and books. I might cry when we fight and when I get so happy. And I'll cry whenever I miss you.

At night, even though were both worn out from our own activities I'll never forget to ask how your day went and I promise to listen at your every words until we both fall asleep.

Even though we'll fight countless times, I won't let you forget how your hands fit in mine, how we escape for our night drives, how we end up drinking beer and having chicken wings while we talk about life.

We both don't know what tomorrow's bring, but I promise to love and choose you every day. I'll give you my trust, respect, loyalty, and honesty; and I hope to gain yours, too.

I might not get you sometimes, but I will always be thankful that I got you. And I promise that I will always try to understand you and communicate properly with you.

I promise to respect your personal space. I will give you time whenever you need it. I promise to listen and to be there for you... to make you smile, to you, and to love you.

I promise to be your home at the proper time, at the perfect season.
