How to keep your Fandom Amino Alive!

I’ve noticed an amount of blogs asking about how to keep a community active lately, in fact I think I see a post almost every single day! So, I thought I would help out just a bit on what I believe could help bring up your activity in your community. For this blog specifically, I’m going to be more on the topic of fandom communities. Animes/Mangas, Celebrities, TV Shows, Movies, Books, YouTubers, etc etc! (Though some/all steps could apply to all aminos in some regard)

Having a fandom community can sometimes be challenging, especially if what your fandom is about has: ed away, is on hiatus or break, finale, etc. This is a few tips on keeping your community active after one of these things may have happened.

Challenges

Making Challenges is always a good idea in general if your community is lacking in activity. Coming up with a challenge can either be hit or miss with your , but make sure you broadcast it to everyone so as many people see it as possible.

If you’re still not getting much or any participation with your challenge, have yourself and your staff team participate in the challenge as well. If others see participating in the challenge, they may be more inclined to participate as well. It may motivate them or spark some kind of creativity with them if they see an example post.

Still not working? Add some rewards to your challenges. This can sometimes motivate more to participate as well if there is a reward involved. The most common rewards are 3 day features, broadcasts, titles, fan art, and photo edits.

Some Challenge Ideas:

-Create a story or fan fiction about fandom topic

-“What Next?” Have create a blog about what they would want to see next from their fandom.

-Classic Art Challenge: Have draw something related to the fandom

-Introduction: How they were first introduced to the fandom and/or the amino community.

-Favorite: Write a blog about your favorite part of the fandom (favorite moment, favorite song, favorite video, favorite episode, etc)

-Meme: Everyone loves memes, have your create appropriate memes only your fandom would understand!

Broadcast & Feature

Featuring posts is definitely something you’ll want to prioritize in a community that may be on the verge of inactivity. You’re definitely going to want to broadcast these posts as much as possible as well. You should always try to broadcast at least twice a day in your amino community. If you’re lacking posts to feature or broadcast, get yourself or your staff team to create some blogs! Get that activity up as much as possible with your feed to revive your community.

Updates & Advertising

Is your community still lacking in activity? Try updating the community on what’s going on. This especially goes for communities who’s TV shows, animes/mangas, YouTubers, etc are taking a season break, on tour, or are on hiatus. Keeping your community up to date on all the news is a sure way to spark some creativity and activity in your community!

Let’s say your amino is about a TV Show that has recently gone on season break and now your amino is lacking activity for various reasons possibly relating to this. Try to find updates on the show from social media or somewhere else that you could possibly blog about to keep your community excited and in suspense for the next season! Of course, credit all of your sources and them beforehand if you do this.

Now, I had to mention advertising. Does it always work? Of course not, but it can still be helpful. Find advertising aminos to your community in and/or find other aminos willing to collaborate or endorse your community. You could bring in new and spark some new light into your community once again.

Other ways of advertising are with social media. Creating a Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc Page may just come in handy. Social Media is a great way to reach a lot of people, especially with the trendy hashtags nowadays. You can your community directly or even awesome posts in your community that someone might find interesting and be willing to take a look and !
