To be in love gets thrown around a lot.

Sometimes though, it fades to grey.

With the arrow of both Cupid and Hades, I was shot.

Unrequited love nearly drove me to my grave.

Two hearts caught by love's gaze,

Yet, it is not with one another.

Trapped inside a burning cage

Like the words of Johnny Cash, a ring of fire.

I loved you with an open and willing heart

Yet, I couldn't see, and soon I learned the truth.

To confess my feelings, I knew not where to start.

You gazed at her longingly, so I destroyed any proof.

I cannot tell you I love you.

Or am I in love with the thought of it all.

I didn't come looking for love, that I knew.

Yet, when you smiled I had already begun to fall.

She doesn't love you, why can't you see?

She plays with your heart like a devil.

I want to save you from this fate, please.

In the court of broken love, I'm a serial criminal.

You don't look my way, you've already fell.

I can never tell you how I love your smile.

I can never mention my own personal Hell.

Romeo and Juliet, only seen from afar, all the while.

She doesn't love you, she plays around.

Yet she's stolen your heart away.

Forced to silence my ever aching heart, oh how it pounds.

I've grown familiar of the searing pain.

I reach for your hand, yet it's not there, I know.

Heaven cannot reach your smile's beauty or light.

Yet, your eyes are diamonds, beauties to behold.

My broken heart pounds in anguish through the empty night.

I wrote a letter, yet to you I'm invisible.

A love triangle that can never happen.

Still, to this day you'll forever be irresistible.

My heart kills me, forever a triangle I'm trapped in.

Falling in love with you was never in my plan.

She makes you happy, she's short and pretty.

I'm not even close, what chance would I stand?

The hope one day you'll see my yearning gaze defeats me.

Love cannot be selfish, for that's not what love is.

I knew I loved you from the start.

Yet your eyes tell me she's the one you missed.

I push you to her as it rips me apart.

In time I'll learn to love, but for you I can't.

But for now I'm happy loving you from afar.

There goes my last daydream, my last chance.

The fire burns my weakening heart.

Lips to lips in a loving kiss,

Hearts beat as one.

Tears like raindrops, drip... drip...drip.

It's obvious who lost this war, and obvious who won.

Your smile, your eyes, everything about you.

I love it more than I can put in words.

I can't believe you don't love me, it can't be true.

So I let you kiss her, no matter how much it hurts.

My eyes grow teary, yet I can't speak aloud.

I love you too much to stop you.

Even if it puts me through Hell,

You love her, not me, so what good would fighting do.

Even if she hurts you in her selfish hunt,

You love her, I have to accept what's true.

I knew it would end like this since it had begun.

So you have my blessing. Both of you.
