Early Christmas Gift

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it! I've been ready since September. :3

To those who do not, I wish you a happy Winter Solstice, as that is December 21st this year. Well, approximately. Time zones are hell. XP

To those who do not celebrate any religious inspired holidays, I wish you a happy December, and please take care of yourselves!

This is a poem I've been working on since early November, just making sure each detail is right. It is a Christmas gift for my boyfriend, Bugger/Buggy! He didn't ask for anything, but I would feel bad not getting him something.

Alright look. This is gonna get reeeeeally mushy. I'm a gooey person when it comes to romance. I like writing like old love poems. So if you ain't into mushy stuff, I will see you in my next poem! If you are interested, or if you're my baby, then please read ahead! <3

Months ago, I felt like I was trash, lost in my own sea.

Floating endlessly in my mind, unwanted, unloved.

Until the moment you said you loved me,

And suddenly I was falling from the sky above.

Day after day you broke down my wall.

Night after night I built them back up.

I never once thought I'd allow myself to fall..

But you're loving words were enough.

In my darkest times, you only held me tighter.

You never looked or ran away.

You turned this coward into a fighter.

And somehow you're still with me to this very day.

No song can ever be enough

No lyrics seem to be fitting.

They can't describe our kind of love.

Nearly 4 months and I'm still all kinds of smitten.

Hand in my hand

And you promised to never let go

So high up I can't see any land

Walking on our thin tightrope.

I have a million dreams

All of them are with you.

Life has become so much better it seems.

Without your love to hold me, I'd surely lose.

Our love is not perfect

Still working out the dents.

Maybe we don't have to follow what's written yet.

Entangled as you hold me in your hands.

Everything will never be enough

Not until you're in my arms.

Even if the waves of life get choppy and rough.

The world can keep it's identical houses and perfect yards.

Is this what they call true love?

In those story books I once read.

Will my damaged heart truly be enough?

The doubtful thoughts dim in my head.

I will never truly deserve you.

Maybe that's okay.

The moment I loved you, I knew

We'd be together someday.

Your eyes are pools of water

I'm drowning in their beauty.

My cheeks grow red and get hotter.

Maybe at this point I've grown looney.

You make my days better than the last,

Each time I've seen you smile.

Never once thought I'd fall this fast.

Got me acting like a child.

Can you feel the love tonight,

Growing in your heart?

I know we're not there quite,

But distance cannot tear us apart.

Soulmates, the word I'd use.

I know it seems like too much.

But even now I feel a connection to you,

A zap or zing of fate at first touch.

Floating above the ground where I once stood.

I know this feeling is perfect.

Just by saying three words, you lift my mood.

I know that I'll never truly deserve it.

All I need is you,

All you need is me.

And we love each other.

Through each and every probability.

Slowly but surely you've helped me become my best.

You've gotten me to do things I've never done before.

Finally I feel a sense of peace, of endless rest.

I'm home in your arms, safe from the war.

I know I brag about you way too much.

Probably should shut my mouth.

Making me fall with each and every touch.

You managed to tame a lion as a mouse.

We balance each other out.

I can feel it even as I fall apart.

Your love holds me and shatters any doubt.

Nothing I can do, a total eclipse of my heart.

Yes it was short, but I feel like I've told him before exactly how I feel. I may add more to this later but for right now, taadaa. I hope you liked it everyone! And I hope you like your gift darlin. ^^
