So, I'm sure you've noticed, and it's been brought up before, but the golden Trion is always in trouble, either together or separately.
By this, I don't mean the life and death situation, I mean totally detention worthy.
From book one, through too book 6, Ron, hermione and harry are in trouble with the teachers, here are just a few of these times
:closed_umbrella: PHILOSOPHER'S STONE :closed_umbrella:
Harry, Ron and hermione are out of school boundaries after hours while sneaking to Hagrids house . Unfortunately for them, they are caught by a fellow student and all of them end up in detention in the forbidden forest at night. Hagrid takes them out on a search for unicorns injured, or dead.

:snake: CHAMBER OF SECRETS :snake:
Harry and Ron get separate detentions after flying the car to hogwarts.
In all fairness though, they couldn't have gotten there as efficiently any other way because dobby had blocked off the 9 3/4 entrance because of the chamber of secrets.
The car ends up crashing into the whomp in willow and 'damaging' it.
Harry serves detention with lockhart, answering fanmail

:dog: PRISNOR OF AZKABAN :dog:
Although he doesn't get caught by a teacher in the act, he travels into hogsmeade, using the marauders map to get out of hogwarts. The fact that he has the map in the first place would have earned him a detention, but the fact that he was out of school bounds and in a R18 bar!!!
He wold probably have to clean the lavatories for a month! (But knowing harry, mcgonagall wouldn't give him something like that-not interesting enough)

:trophy: GOBLET OF FIRE :trophy:
harry potter's name got put in the goblet of fire by Barty Crouch Jr and it just do happened that the slip of paper was picked out of the hundreds of names in there.
This obviously set the teachers and media alight, they all thought harry had done it himself or gotten someone else to do it for him. Dumbledore was suspicious and Ron completely believed harry had done it at first, ruining their relationship for a time.
He didn't get any detentions but being in the tournament, was obviously enough

:bomb: ORDER OF THE PHOENIX :bomb:
ahh, we all know this one. Infamous umbridge made harry write lines because harry insisted that you know who was back and she didn't want to believe it.
He wrote said lines with the 'black quill' an object of dark magic which siphoned the blood of the as ink. He spent his evenings in the frilly pink room umbridge called an office and wrote lines for a week. At the end of it, "I must not tell lies" was scarred onto the back of his hand.
Oh how we all hated umbridge...

:trident: HALF BLOOD PRINCE :trident:
Harry was supposed to be practicing verbal spells during defence against the dark arts but he accidentally said one aloud... trust snape to give harry another detention

but perhaps in this circumstance harry shouldn't have obeyed the 'rules'
Harry listened to dumbledore when he said that harry must stay down under he observatory. If he hadnt , perhaps he could have prolonged dumbledores death.
The time he listens to what someone says...

Have you noticed how Ron and hermione don't get into trouble as much in the end...
:skull: THE DEATHLY HALLOWS :skull:
Harry and Ron did not go back to hogwarts for classes, but hermione later returned and completed her studies with ginny weasley
