You could say that there are many different symbols In the harry potter fandom, but the one we seem to revert to is the eign of the deathly hallows, why?
-we draw it EVERYWHERE
-we wear it
-and we alwasy talk about it
SO, here are my thoughts on why the 'deathly hallows' symbol is so popular

EASY TO SEE AND RECOGNISEABLE
There are many symbols us potterheads could use to represent the HP fandom, but we choose the DH, probably because we can quickly and easily make our mark.
It is, when drawn simply, 3/4 of a line inside a circle and fully closed in a triangle.
A broomstick, snitch, or wand would have been options, but there are too many variations and it is much too hard to draw. A lightning bolt could also easily be mistaken for something else, the hallows however, belongs soley to potterheads!

CAN BE MADE INTO JEWLERY
The DH looks amazing on a necklace, ring or bracelet. When we see it on someone, the message sent to our brain is **fellow potterhead alert!**
Also, in the films, we see the Deathly Hallows on a chain around Xenophilius Lovegood's neck. So this is a perfect item for ANY gender.

THE TITLE OF THE LAST BOOK
*Harry Potter and the DEATHLY HALLOWS.* All of our adventures with the HP characters lead up to a final journey on the search for horcruxes. This storyline is closely interwoven with that of the tale of the three brothers. Dumbledore knew all along about the power of the DH and the 'golden trio' eventually figure it out too.
This is what JK Rowling leaves us with, a last keepsake of the wizarding world we can hold onto - a eulogy of sorts for the HP series...

((we thought that it was the end! but its not!!!)) ((*fantastic beasts and where to find them* & *the cursed child*))- I love how Rowling keeps us updated!
IDEA OF THE DEATHLY HALLOWS IS AWESOME
"You meet Death on a bridge*f and he gives you some pretty awesome gifts. .. (okay, kinda creepy) but really, who doesn't want the items represented by the deathly hallows symbol
:skull: A cloak that makes the wearer totally invisible and, essentially, immortal.
:skull: A stone that brings back the dead ((who you can speak to for a short while))
:skull: A wand that can defeat any other!
These items would make you the ultimate master of death (and probably quite popular amongst your friends as well)

So, with all of these great benefits, why not use the deathly hallows symbol?
Personally, I love it and the idea behind it.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Tell me, why do you use this symbol to represent your love for HP?!

Whenever I doodle a picture of the Deathly Hallows, all my muggle friends think that it is a reference to the illuminati!
Hahah muggles and their conspiracy theories...
Although.. maybe there is some reference to that in the hallows?
