Task Two - Triwizard25

One task down, two more to go. The Triwizard

Tournament has really begun!

Over the past few days, I have been excitedly

watching our 24 champions race against the

clock as they competed to post a surprise 11

blogs for task one. They have achieved so

much   already, with stunning blogs sure   to

inspire your own creativity.

While this weekend was a much needed and

well-deserved break, their battle is not over

yet. They still have a long way to go to get

their hands on that trophy and today I will be

handing them the next stepping stone on the

journey,   a new challenge they will have to

tackle to make it to the final task.

But before we get onto the next task, I have

some results to announce!

Five Triwizard Judges, including myself, have

thoroughly    enjoyed    reading    all    of    the

wonderful entries made by the three schools

for this very first task.   We have all read every

entry and judged them primarily on originality,

presentation,       quality,      and       teamwork.

Regardless of the results so far, you should all

be extremely proud of what your team has

accomplished! Without further ado, let’s get

into it…

The Beauxbatons Team is first up, and one

who stunned us straight away with in-depth

blogs and fanfiction stories filled with stunning

twists and turns.   Anything from puzzles to

poems to playlists could be found across their

blogs, although a personal favorite of mine

was    the    exceedingly    creative    wizarding

careers poll. Add in the perfectly timed jokes

that elevated every blog, and you’ll find this

team did a phenomenal job!

The Durmstrang Team is up next, a formidable

opponent   to   their competitors despite   the

struggles   they   faced.   Needing   to   find   a

replacement   on the last day,   a new   team

member stepped up to the plate and helped

Durmstrang stay ahead. With some inspired

edits, heated debates, and flawless fanfictions

they truly shined!

The Hogwarts Team is certainly impossible to

forget, taking an early lead with the first post

of   the   tournament. They   displayed   some

gorgeous art in several blogs, and showed off

their   knowledge   in   quizzes   for   the   next.

Hogwarts truly does have it all, including some

fascinating ideas like an oracle able to answer

even the most obscure questions. Great job

team!

Don’t   forget,   we’re   still   early   on   in   the

competition and all of this can still change! So

far,   the three teams have delivered   some

exceptional work which makes me even more

excited to see what’s next in task two.

This    task    will    test    how    strong     your

camaraderie has become over the past ten

days.   It will test how well you know each

other’s skills, how well you deal with time, and

how much you can depend on each other.

For your second task I am asking the three

schools    to    each     make    one    cohesive,

collaborative post within your schools. As the

second task, traditionally, was a swim around

the lake, you’ll be doing your own deep dive

into the mind of a Harry Potter character.

⠀⠀   • You must provide the background of your

       assigned character including their full name,

       personality      traits,     relatives,      magical

       information,    and    academic    information

⠀⠀   • You     must     include     the     character’s

       background including all defining moments

       in their life

⠀⠀   • You   must   include an analysis   of   their

       personality discussing ideas such as their

       motivations, beliefs, and overall goodness

⠀⠀   • You must include a fanfiction starring your

       character that emphasizes previous points

       from throughout the b a minimum of

       2000 words

⠀⠀   • The    deadline    is    midnight    GMT    on

       February 13th

⠀⠀   • We will be judging your entries based on

       grammar,    writing,   quality   of    backstory,

       quality   of analysis,   quality   of   fanfiction,

       cohesiveness, consistency, and completion

       of requirements.

⠀⠀   • Additionally     there     will      be     specific

       requirements for each school that will be

       sent in a message as soon as the second

       task starts. In that message will also be a

       way for you to get bonus points.
