𝐇𝐞𝐲 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞!
Welcome to my (super unofficial) HPA Wrapped… year 2!
Last year, I had the idea to wrap up some of the unique, amazing, and otherwise very creative posts and experiences that occurred in HPA throughout 2022 in the format of Spotify Wrapped. (Curious? Click here to read it!)
> halfway through making this the weekend challenge dropped… this is not a part of that (sorry) <
And do you know what… who cares if it’s unoriginal. I think that sometimes the best ideas should be re-used. Plus, it was my own idea, so who cares about plagiarism anyways.
Ok, kinda got off track. This year, though, was even more special than normal, so I thought I would at least switch up the format a LITTLE to kind-of mock Spotify better. If you know me, you may know that giving music recommendations is also sort of my forte, so this one will be filled with a LOT of music, random anecdotes, etc.
Like I said this year, I want to reiterate that this post is going to be a little subjective. While I included many posts, I definitely missed dozens of blogs, drawings, etc. that are more than worthy of being mentioned.
Alright, without further ado… let the HPA Wrapped 2023 begin!

Each year, the sheer number of posts that each member in this amino create is genuinely astounding. I am never NOT in awe as I scroll through the home page. My feed is constantly flooded by amazing edits, drawings, quizzes, debates, challenges, and, of course, regular old blogs (like this one right here).
I’d like to say that my taste varies, but there is one thing I am always drawn back to— blogs. I love reading all of the analyses and debates, the ones that discuss themes and other informative topics, the ones that compare Harry Potter characters to other series, etc…. The creativity is insane.
So, please check out some of the blogs I’ve linked below (sorted alphabetically)!

There was also lots of opportunity to travel this year!
A little birdie told me about Natsumi) caught my eye!
But there’s something so magical about exploring new places— including some other magical institutions, like the Arcanum University, as visited by Hermione Granger.
On a more generalized note, one of my favorite things about this Amino is the variety of the and where they’re based out of. I am constantly finding myself in with people halfway across the world and in time zones wildly ahead (or behind) my own. Learning about where they’re from is interesting, too.
(Which is why learning about topics such as the one I’ll include below is so fascinating:
Mike)
Here are some song recommendations from my friends located all around the globe! (For privacy reasons, I will not include their location, but trust that I chose at least a semi-variety of people from various countries).

𝐋𝐄𝐓’𝐒 𝐑𝐄𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐃
From a very biased perspective, I think the very best thing about HPA is the events that occur over the year, from TriWiz to AH to the various crossovers, challenges, and other opportunities to meet new people.
In the beginning of the year, there was another TriWizard tournament. I have so many words on the subject, since TriWiz was one of the best experiences of my time here on the HPA, but I’ll keep it brief. It was such a unique experience and I met so many hardworking people who inspired me to be creative, to try new things, and just genuinely push myself in the best way. (Want more info on my experience? Read here). If you were around, you probably the floods of beautiful and interesting blogs by each TriWiz team and all of their contributions. The work done in TriWiz is some of the best throughout the entire year. I thank everyone who participated, no matter which team you were on (even though I’m a bit biased). But, most importantly, I want to thank all of the s who made it happen, those managed each team, and especially Nico.
Another big event run by HPA and a team of very, very diligent and hardworking people is Amino Hogwarts (nicknamed affectionately as AH). For those unaware, AH is a roleplay-based event during the summer months that gives the opportunity to interact with others, take classes, and unravel mysteries. I’ve done AH for the last 3 years, and I can say with confidence that it’s the best event run on any amino I’ve ever been in. I have met so many lifelong friends through AH that I would otherwise be living my life without right now. The staff does a fantastic job acclimating and organizing students, creating compelling classes with knowledgeable and experienced professors, and providing great opportunities to be involved in dances, plays, mystery schemes, and more. But I can’t talk about AH without talking about quidditch. I know that quidditch is not for everyone, but the community is so competitive and thrilling. Honestly, my heart pounds just thinking about it. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, go ahead and research the rules in the wiki and it might make more sense. But I’ve played for Gryffindor as a chaser, and the feeling of “playing” with a team is so fulfilling. This last year, I also played as a reserve for the Hufflepuff team on a short-staffed game.
Sorry, I got a bit ahead of myself there. If you’ve been a student of AH, this year or the past; you can attest to the lively, ive atmosphere that it creates and the sense of community that runs so strong throughout this amino. And, for that reason alone, this post has essentially become a love letter to everyone who makes it happen, from the students to the professors to the prefects and s.
But, even if you’re only here from time to time throughout the year, I’m sure you’ve seen a weekend challenge or two. Often, I am guilty of accidentally forgetting to do the challenge until past the weekend… but I’d like to say there’s no shame in taking your time. I’ll include some of my favorite prompts from this year and encourage you to try one, no matter how late, just because they’re fun.

In other words, 2023 was a magical year here on the HPA. I love this community with all of my heart and am so grateful that it is such a positive, creative, and active place we can all enjoy.
If you’re looking through this post and don’t see see a blog you believe should be included, comment it below so that everyone can check it out! I, unfortunately, could not get through every post made this year (I only have so much time) so I am bound to have missed tons of amazing work.
Additionally, I don’t know everyone who was mentioned personally. If you made one of the blogs I mentioned above and I labeled your name wrong, please PM me and I will fix it!
I’m going to go take a nap.
Happy New Year Everyone!
