5th Hamino anniversary - Day 1

June 29th is nearing again and as per usual, that means that it's time for Hamino's anniversary again! The community will now be.... [factchecking pause] 5 years old and personally I've been here for most of its lifetime. I'm happy to be able to share yet another anniversary event with the community this year again.

So, let's get to the activities of the 1st day to get this anniversary started. As has been done before, this year's Hamiversary will consist of 3 days worth of some smaller events that will be announced daily. But without further ado, day 1~!

DAY 1

Icon contest

The amazing previous icon made by Einny has had its spotlight as the community icon for almost a year now so it's time we give the community a refreshing and host the annual icon contest! The winner of the contest will get their art displayed as the community icon for the next year so be sure to read throughougly through the rules as to not be disqualified if you plan on ing the contest.

Icon Contest Rules

1. You have 2 weeks to create your icon. Final day to enter them is on July 11th! Late entries will not be counted even if they are posted before the winners are announced.

2.The art must be digital and Hamilton related. Try to show what this community is about! Be creative!

2.5. The art must be made for the icon contest, and not re-using an art piece you've made before. That ensures an equal footing for all participants.

3. The icon should contain the word "Hamino" or "Hamilton Amino" somewhere in it. Besides that, everything (that abides within the Guidelines) is allowed!

4. All entry dimensions must be 512px by 512px as that is Amino's required/recommend dimensions for icons.

5. To have your Icon considered in the contest just post it here on Hamino with proof shots and the hashtag below.

6. You can have a max of 2 entries but both must be shown on the same post.

7. You have to tag the post with the hashtag #HaminoYear5Icon .

After the deadline, the Leadership team will go through the entries to decide the icon for the next year. The results will be posted as soon as we get everyone's votes/opinions counted and decided.

Hamicord

Hamicord is not a new thing by any chance, but as our later events will be needing you to use discord for the most part, we hope everyone who hasn't ed yet would do so before the actual event dates just so we can get everyone approved for the server before we should host the events.

Even after the anniversary the discord server is a fine place to hang out, ask friends to play games with you or just share art etc.
