The polls about Manual vs automatic has been made countless times over now and we all know the outcome of them.
But will the outcome still be the same if we change a couple of factors.
Concider this. Say you're buying something like a 2006 Nissan X-Trail, and you're mainly going to use it for city driving in mild traffic, with lots of cars, pedestrians, stops and red lights. Nr1 you don't have a sports car in any case, Nr2, you use your vehicle in situations where manuals might become slightly frustrating. What would you choose?

I think every company should offer the chance to have a auto or manual for there SUV/Truck too many of them are autos the only companys that do is Toyota and Chevy ...Toyotas TRD pro offers a 6 speed standard and Chevy's base line 2wd 4cyl Colorado has a option for a 5 speed standard
Auto for city such as san fran, Manuel if you live in like the country side or freeway
Auto is the better option. More practical and lesser room for error with pedestrians around and bumper to bumper traffic. To me manual should never be a daily. I believe manual should be for projects only
Automatic for all factors listed, and as a daily 5 speed driver, a lot of bumper to bumper traffic daily puts a lot of strain on your knees and is probably not the best way to drive a manual since you most likely won't be engaging clutch completely if you aren't even going over 10mph.
If there was little traffic and stop and go I would choose manual SUV
For an SUV, I'd want an automatic. It's an SUV, not a sports car..
