Exterior is finally done! Somewhat.. body is painted to the point where I'm in love and don't want to change anything. This morning I spent 4 hours masking to completely change the look of the truck with my custom shit mix colour, aka 2 months worth of leftover paint mixed together. Have fun colour matching this one collision shops :sunglasses:
Originally I was going to paint the wheels the same colour but black Rallyes just look so damn good so I was going to go with that I knew would look good and not pray it did and we'll it payed off, I dig the look without the beauty rings and center caps so I'll be rocking it like this for a while.
In the meantime though, I've been thinking I'm not so happy with the air ride and it's become more of a nuisance, airing up in the morning, bouncy ride in the front, stiff in the rear, it feels like a roller coaster just going to work, I've been looking at QA1 coil overs for the front and was thinking about transitioning to a traditional spring again, I'm considering this more now cause I now have the 4 link in the truck so it would be super easy to get full adjustable coils all the way around. Reason one is with softer springrate, likely a 350lb spring, it would be a nicer more planted ride with the current 4 banger compared to the bags, aswell as when a V6 or 8 swap comes and I need a stiffer spring, they are readily available, or even just adjust the damping on the shock
This is all easier said than done, I would need to order all 4 coilovers, and install them before I could sell the air system in the truck, I might end up waiting until the firebird is driving and swapping place with the two for a month or two while transitioning, we'll have to wait and see I guess, enjoy the mediocre photos I got and how AMAZING THIS THING LOOKS
