So the countless cycles of warming up and cooling back down are starting to take its toll on the Frontier. Checked the oil today and discovered that the heat has caused the oil pan to droop slightly and the dip stick to shrink enough that the dip stick no longer reaches the oil. Eventually I’ll weld in an oil pan to eliminate the droop but in the mean time I wanted to ask if anyone knows where I can find a longer dipstick for a V6 Frontier. The dipstick not being long enough to keep the exhaust valves from sucking in air is causing a really annoying ticking sound and that should solve it until I can fix it properly.

Dipstick not being long enough the story of my life :pensive:
She tells me everytime :(
Or you could just tighten the bolts to the oil pan.
The V6 doesn’t have a center bolt to prevent droop. Should’ve been a recall.
Im like 50/50 right now. Are you messing with us?
