Don’t mind me, just your typical anime fan obsessing over the manga ending (I’m not crying, I swear!) who also just happens to be reentering their FNaF faze… Again… Do you ever really leave?

And you know what?! When you’re obsessed when two things at once, crossover art is born! :sparkles:

All jokes aside, last month’s challenge inspired me to make this AU. I was always planning on posting it eventually, but when I saw this prompt on the bingo board it motivated me to return to this sooner than I planned. :grin:

It’s only one character rn, with some others mentioned, but you better believe I wrote up a whole backstory, gameplay mechanics, personality, relationships, lore, and motivations for this one character! I shall now describe them all to you in great detail.

Originally meant to be a one-off character in the show “Fredbear and Friends,” Black Cat quickly grew in popularity and became a recurring side character. It wasn’t long before he got his own merchandise alongside the others as well. When Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria opened up (FNaF 1) he finally got his own animatronic!

Black Cat’s job is to watch over and entertain children in the play area (where the arcades and stuff are). He even exchanges tickets for prizes. In order to properly do his job Black Cat needs to be able to move around, so he is the only animatronic allowed to free roam after the infamous ‘Bite of 87.’ He’s just not allowed to leave the play area.

One day, Black Cat needed to be taken to the back for cleaning and repairs. The employees had started the job in the morning and left him in the backroom when the place opened. They were planning to finish later when they closed again. Unfortunately, a thirteen year old boy named Toya Todoroki had somehow gotten locked back there. He didn’t even have time to call for help before a fire started and burned him alive. The fire had been well contained so damages done to inventory was minuscule, and no one had even noticed the smoke until it was to late. The cause of the fire remains a mystery, however the police are sure of foul play. They believe it to be a targeted attack towards their own Enji Todoroki, who was the victim’s father. There are even rumors floating around that is was Enji himself who had started the fire.

But those are nothing more than just fruitless rumors.

Wonder who could’ve started them…

A few days after the incident Black Cat was put back out in the play area, but he was… different. His eyes had changed from green to blue, and his personality became cruder as well. Honestly he began cursing so much the employees had to code a censor into him. It only ever seemed to work during the day though, no matter how much they tinkered with it. Black Cat also found some kind of black coat and started wearing it. The employees have no idea where he found it but at that point they were done trying and just didn’t question it. Believe it or not the kids absolutely loved the change in personality. The younger ones found him funny while the older ones where glad he wasn’t trying to baby them.

It’s no secret that remnant is the reason why no one can stay dead in this bloody franchise, however it does have a glaring weakness. Fire is the guaranteed way to destroy remnant permanently. It’s a good (or not so good depending how you look at it) thing that remnant isn’t the only way to remain after death, and that’s exactly what happened to Toya Todoroki.

Thanks to a combination of agony and hatred Toya’s soul is not only fireproof, but he can also create his own flames. The fires he starts burn a beautiful blazing blue. The nature of his soul, although more resilient than one made of remnant, is a bit unstable. His unpredictable mood swings and habit to commit arson is the reason most other souls are scared of him. Even William (who is super relieved he’s not on the receiving end of the boy’s vengeance). There are some exceptions however. Black Cat and Foxy are basically rivals, and Cassidy is his best friend. Charlie finds him frustrating more than anything since he’s so hard to control.

Toya and Cassidy bonded over their shared love of revenge, much to the dismay of the ever timid Evan who shares the golden bear suit. Now he has to deal with two of them. Luckily for William, Cassidy has yet to convince Toya to actively help her with her vengeance. He’s very ive but would rather focus on his own thing. Besides, he has no beef with William. That’s Cassidy’s thing.

Ever since being possessed Black Cat has become nothing but a major headache for Fazbear’s employees. So much so that he eventually got his own handler to deal with his shit. The new hire was called Tomura Shigaraki. At first he had just as much trouble with Black Cat as the rest of the employees, but eventually the two became quite the duo. They just bounce off each other really well, and they love to talk shit about people together. Tomura is probably the only person Black Cat will listen to. It is unclear to the others wether Tomura knows Black Cat is possessed or not, but it surely seems as if he does. Especially since he gave Black Cat the nickname “Dabi,” implying that he knows of the animatronic’s nighttime hobbies.

Toya will 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 talk about his father. He clearly doesn’t like the man although no one knows why. It could be that the rumors are true, or it could be about something completely unrelated. Again, he doesn’t speak of him. Any attempt to force him to will be shut down or quite literally go up in flames. No one really wants to tempt fate…. again.

Lessons were learned.

Black Cat’s behavior is like a mix of Foxy’s and the Marionette’s. He will remain in his area so long as you watch him through the cameras. The longer you don’t the closer he’ll get to leaving. Keeping an eye on him will cause him to retreat back to his original position. Once he gets out, he won’t go back. You won’t be able to see him on the cameras once he manages to sneak away.

If Black Cat can get out of the play area he will help the other animatronics get into your office. He’ll break your cameras, start fires, and cause distractions. Breaking cameras will prevent you from cam-stalling. The fires will raise the temperature, allowing heat activated animatronics to become an issue. His distractions will prevent you from hearing important audio clues, such as Chica in the kitchen, and trigger noise sensitive animatronics. You will need to flip through the cameras to find him, giving Golden Freddy more opportunities to appear.

When Black Cat first leaves his area he will choose to either cause chaos or just kill you himself. The odds of him choosing the latter are thankfully low. Usually you can tell when he leaves rather quickly since he’ll be actively helping the others, but when he chooses to kill you he won’t do any of that. You won’t know that he left until you check. Him being quiet should scare you. If you’re lucky the clock will reach six before he strikes.

The usual countermeasures against animatronics won’t work on Black Cat. You cannot shock him since you can’t find him, he’s not fooled by a mask, and he can easily slip past your doors. He is, however, pretty slow to leave the play area. You have more than enough time to watch him, unless you forget to check on him. On the bright side there are countermeasures against his shenanigans. Broken cameras can be repaired and rebooted, fires can be put out, and finding the camera with the distraction will cause him to run off.

Ok, I think I’ve gone through everything now. I am 100% keeping this AU so if you guys got any ideas for other characters write them down in the comments! I’d love read them all!
