5 days until the party

Rhythmic pounding resounded around the room. Through sobs the child cried, “Let me out! Please! This isn’t funny!” Locked in his room again, the little boy collapsed to the ground in tears. Cradling his knees, the child’s wails replaced the previous pounding filling the room.

4 days until the party
▌│█║▌║▌║║▌║▌║█│ ▌
He is hiding again. I know he is hiding again.
Cautiously the child ventured down the hallway, his face still stained with tears. The house was quiet. Just down the hall was his sister’s room. It’s been empty for a while. Looking in it now it was just as she had left it. A little broken fox toy scattered on the ground. Dad couldn’t bring himself to come in here, and neither could…
It’s not safe here.
Now he was in the living room. Pausing for a moment, the child looked around. He hasn’t popped up yet, but the boy knows it’s coming. Any moment now. He wasn’t behind the clock this time, he has to be in here somewhere. The child walked over to the couch. Jumping up, he peered over the back. Nothing.
That means he’s behind the TV.
The telly was just across the room, yet it might as well have been at the end of a never ending hallway. The child slowly walked over, his whole body shaking. Closer. Closer. Then the fox pounced. His jaws snapping in the boy’s face with a loud bark, stinking hot breath blasting his face. The fox’s red fur was peeling and ragged. Bone was exposed on his snout, his lips pulled back in a permanent, stitched up smile. Those blazing golden eyes sunken into his skull and screaming with bloodlust. Consumed by fear, it was all the crying child could do to collapse and hug his knees for comfort.

He left me here. He knows I hate it here. If I run I can make it.
The child made a break for the exit, but it was too late. The bear was now between him and the way out. The red fox had nothing on this golden nightmare. It towered over the child, its figure hunched over to fit in the room. There were too many teeth to fit in its mouth so its lips had been torn away, staining its teeth with blood. The corners of its mouth were stitched into a smile that was far too wide. Down on its stomach even more teeth burst out of its flesh, framing a gaping hole that could swallow someone whole. Standing in the bear’s shadow the child looked up into its blood red eyes. This thing wanted to eat him, he just knew it. He turned tail and ran, but as he neared the stage a second bear stared at him with hungry eyes. It looked just like the other bear but was black and partially transparent. Sounds of static filled the boy’s ears, the room getting darker. Looking behind him he saw the golden bear getting closer. His heart was pounding. He needed to run, but to where? Panic filled his lungs, making it hard to breathe. Out of options the boy dove under a table and cried. It was all he could do.
Tomorrow is another day…

He hates me…
The child pushed himself up and out from underneath the table. Tears streaked his cheeks and his breathing uneven. This time, he managed to leave the dinner before the bear showed up again. This was his chance. He needed to get home, his room his only sanctuary. Walking with haste he ed others on the sidewalk. They had no eyes and their mouths were elongated. The other children pointed at the boy and laughed. They laughed and laughed, filling his ears and overwhelming his senses. A hurried walk turned into a mad dash. The house was not to far away, he could make it. The door slammed shut behind him, but the boy could not rest easy.
He’s hiding.
Cartoons played on the telly as he ed by. The couch was empty. Where was he? Being as quiet as he could the boy crept through the hallways. The old grandfather clock making its obnoxious ‘tic tok tic tok.’ So far so good. He was almost there. Finally in his room the boy let out the breath he didn’t even know he was holding and gently closed the door. That was a mistake. The moment he felt secure the fox jumped out from underneath his bed. Jaws snapping with a guttural growl, large claws tearing up the carpet as he desperately tried to pull himself out. To get at him. The fox’s hook swung wildly around, trying to catch him. The boy collapsed into a heap of tears. The fox laughed, his voice deep and distorted, rattling around in the boy’s head. Nowhere is safe.
Tomorrow is another day…

”Please let me out!”
The child pounded on the door.
”PLEASE!”
It was no use. The crying child was locked in a dark room full of dismembered limbs and heads. The golden bear was standing behind him. He could hear its ragged breath and could feel it leaning over him. It’s very presence made the whole room even darker. He pounded on the door one last time before falling to his hands and knees. His voice now barely a whisper.
”Please let me out…”
The boy curled up into a little ball as the bear reached out a clawed hand towards him. Drool dribbled from its mouth, falling to the floor with wet splats, and hunger licked at its eyes. The room went black.

”ꃅꍏꉣꉣꌩ ꌃꀤꋪ꓄ꃅꀸꍏꌩ!”
He was surrounded by monsters. They dragged him out from under the table, and they were laughing. The child cried.
”ꅏꂦꅏ, ꌩꂦꀎꋪ ꌃꋪꂦ꓄ꃅꍟꋪ ꀤꌗ ꀘꀤꈤꀸ ꂦꎇ ꍏ ꌃꍏꌃꌩ ꀤꌗꈤ’꓄ ꃅꍟ?”
”ꀤ꓄’ꌗ ꃅꀤ꒒ꍏꋪꀤꂦꀎꌗ!”
The fox leaned in close, his teeth inches away from the child’s face. His eyes and forced smile filled with malice.
”ꅏꃅꌩ ꀸꂦꈤ’꓄ ꅏꍟ ꃅꍟ꒒ꉣ ꃅꀤꂵ ꁅꍟ꓄ ꍏ ꉓ꒒ꂦꌗꍟꋪ ꒒ꂦꂦꀘ?
ꃅꍟ’꒒꒒ ꒒ꂦꃴꍟ ꀤ꓄!”
”No! Please!”
The child’s cries were fruitless as the monsters grabbed onto him. He tried to squirm away but their hold was too tight.
”ꉓꂦꂵꍟ ꂦꈤ ꁅꀎꌩꌗ, ꒒ꍟ꓄'ꌗ ꁅꀤꃴꍟ ꓄ꃅꀤꌗ ꒒ꀤ꓄꓄꒒ꍟ ꂵꍏꈤ ꍏ ꒒ꀤꎇ꓄.

The child was lifted up into the air. He kicked and screamed as the monsters brought him over to that thing. They merely laughed in response.
”No! I don’t want to go!”
Looming over them all, mouth ajar, was the golden bear. Its hungry eyes full of excitement as the others brought him to it. The closer they got the wider the bear’s mouth seemed to open.
”ꌩꂦꀎ ꃅꍟꍏꋪꀸ ꓄ꃅꍟ ꒒ꀤ꓄꓄꒒ꍟ ꂵꍏꈤ!

”Micheal please!”

”꓄ꅏꂦ…”

That sickening sound was all he could hear. Everything else seemed to go silent to better emphasize the sound of his brother’s skull cracking. Michael’s friends were yelling now. They took of their masks and started panicking. He couldn’t hear them though. The teenager became numb to the world around him, staring at his brother’s body dangling limply from Fredbear’s mouth.
This cannot be happening.
Panic now putting his limbs into motion, Michael desperately grabbed at his brother, frantically trying to pry him out of the animatronic’s blood soaked jaws. The warm, sticky liquid getting on his hands and running down his arms. Finally he got him free from that steel trap, stumbling backwards a little from his brother’s weight. Michael fell to his knees and cradled his brother’s lifeless body in his arms.
Oh god…
The boy’s breathing was so weak and strained, and half of his face was caved in. Michael reached up and threw his mask aside getting a little bit of blood on his face. Tears welled up making it hard to see. He cupped his brother’s head with his hand. At some point his friends had left him, but he didn’t notice. He didn’t even care. His brother was broken in his arms and it was all his fault. What was he supposed to do now?

No one went back to Fredbear’s after that.
