How many seasons had ed since I became a Lcie all those years ago. Not that it matters to me as time holds no meaning to us Gran Pulsians in the grand scheme of things. Yet coming back to my home after centuries gave me a sense of nonstalgia.
It felt nice..the warm springlike breeze carried from the windmills that were scattered throughout the ancient village Vanille and I once called home. Hell flowers were even growing again. Still the season seemed to be tainted by the monsters that roamed here. It did dim the atmosphere of the mood so I made short work of them as I closed my eyes taking in the familiar feeling.
We would always celebrate the coming of the seasons with offerings to our FalCie Anima. Festivities to welcome spring..dancing ..similar to what most modern day cultures had...but those times are over now..still I wanted to go off on my own to enjoy the season.
My thoughts were interrupted by Vanille who came to me.
"Thinking again Fang? About springs gone by." She would sit next to me.
"Heh you know me so well Vanille. And yes I was. Do you feel the warmth of the spring breeze..well..at least I can..but is it really spring now."
She would giggle.
"Of course it is. Do you see any more snow on the ground..look at the flowers that were once thought to have died in winter...ooh they look so beautiful.."
"Ah silly me. I must be getting old Vanille." I say good naturedly. This got her to pout but she seem to get a idea and she ran off...soon coming back.
"Fang you have to see this!"
"See what?"
Vanille excitedly pulled me away from where I was and led me to a spot full of flowers and warm sunlight.
"See! Spring flowers..the first real flowers we have seen in a long time." Vanille was so happy and it was true. Ever since we went on our journey with Lightning and the others we had not seen the change of seasons and natural phenomina. I felt at ease and smiled.
"Real Flowers..but your not thinking I give flowers to someone right.." I chuckled.
"Fang..." Vanille giggled again. "Of course not. I was thinking we could just enjoy the view and feel the first breezes of spring together.
That made me smile. I moved closer to her and stood next to her taking her hand in mine as we both closed our eyes and reminised under springs first sunlight.
