ᐥ Heyo! Long time no see! With all of this SuperM drama lately, I almost forgot about this.      Anywho, it’s been a busy past few months, but fear not because I am back with some more tearjerkers! I’ll be sure to make the next Fic Rec something happy (cause it’s my birthday on the 31st)   so   don’t    worry!    Anyways,   let’s   get started !ʹ ⟩ :crossed_flags: ̧

         𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗢𝗬 𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗕𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗗 𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗢𝗪𝗡 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗧.

            Title: the boy who blocked his own shot

            Pairing: Kai/Kyungsoo

            Genre: Romance, Angst

            Rating: PG-13

            Status: Completed

           :camera: : Lets be real for a second. Most

            romance fanfics have the two

            protagonists hopelessly fall in love and

            go through many hardships and seem

            like they might not end up together but

            oHMYGOD the end up together as

            expected. This fic really reminds us that

            not everything works out your way.

            There’s really nothing to spoil, because

            everything is so clear and conveyed in a

            manner in which it’s quite obvious how

            the story would end.

           📸 : I said there was nothing to spoil, but

           this was necessary. No major spoilers

           and such. I find my favourite part of this

           story the fact that Kai confesses to

           Kyungsoo, gets rejected, and then

           watches Kyungsoo proceed through

           other relationships both ending in

           happiness or not. Although not stated

           directly, we can all tell that Kai holds a

           heavy heart throughout the entirety of

           this fanfiction. A heavy heart can be

           quite the burden. Especially when you

           have no choice to watch your first and

           only love look at other people the same

           way you looked at them.

           :camera: : Some people might like these types

           of stories, but I found it quite boring

           because everything was predictable

           (And because Im not very fond of happy

           endings). But leaving my biased opinion

           out of it, I’d give this story a thumbs up

           for trying its hardest.

                 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥.

                                                ˑ ˑ ˑ

            Title: Leader

            Pairing: None

             Genre: Angst, Friendship

            Rating: PG-13

            Status: Completed

            :camera: : The burden of a leader is

            something we as fans will never truly

            understand. Although, I think that this

            story conveys a leader’s true struggles

            perfectly. My heart breaks in so many

            ways while reading this because of the

            manner in which many things are said

            and made out to be. The symbolism isnt

             something you’d catch on your first time

            around but is something that takes this

            story to a whole other level.

             :camera: : In my opinion, the best part of this

            story is how it shows that the EXO

            cannot function without Suho.

            It’s quite sad to see what some of the

            result to doing, but I like the

            fact that even EX- are involved

            in this. Junmyeon’s crumbling mental

            heath within the story is portrayed in a

            common way, but it truly makes you feel

            bad for the guy. He carries out routines

            and orders in perfect manner, yet is

            discarded almost.. left to the side and is

            taken for granted.

             📸 : I liked this story a lot, but then

            ending felt unnecessary and stretched.

            It’s like the author wanted to fit in

            SuChen and SeHo into this fic, couldn’t,

            and then decided to write this bit at the

            end. I’d have been happy with the story

            ending after the 12 of them hug after

            Suho is found. I’d have been happy and

            satisfied with the implied SeHo and

            SuChen rather then an ending where

            the two pressure Suho and confess.

            Otherwise, I like this story a lot. This

            ending just feels overall wrong and

            rushed.

                                                ˑ ˑ ˑ

            Title: 04:01

            Pairing: Suho-centric , Suho/D.O.

            Genre: Romance, Horror, Thriller

            Rating: PG-13

            Status: Completed

            :camera: : This story really makes you think

            otherwise and doubt things. The reason

            I like this so much is because you don’t

            realize the truth of the story unless you

            read between the lines. It’s hard to

            understand what’s going on the first

            time around, so I recommend reading it

            a second time over.

             📸 : The plot twist being how Suho is

            dead and haunting the living is

            unexpected and quite surprising. The

            first time around it seems like

            everything is fine, until you read the

            epilogue. Reading the story a second

            time over clears up a lot of things and

            makes it easier to understand. Some

            things that were said become very

            creepy when you realize that Kyungsoo

            was the one who murdered Junmyeon

            and was the one people (except

            Chanyeol and Baekhyun who could see

            Junmyeon) actually saw instead of

            Junmyeon. Truth be told, I thought

            Junmyeon was the killer at first.
