Yifan, preferably called Kris, is anything but one to stay in the shadows and keep quiet. When he got invited to a game known as Mirai? He took it as some sort of calling.

Video games were his life and being the son to a millionaire businessman meant he got it all. From the newest games like Fortnite (which was his least favourite), to more retro and old school games like Starfox and Metroid.

Maybe it was his intimidating aura or the fact that he looked like he was going to kill someone, but Kris wasn’t someone to have many friends.

Kris had gone shopping earlier that day and it was safe to say it was a disaster. People had to have pretty high expectations of you if they expect you to still be smiling after being kicked out of a Bubble Tea shop and almost loosing your wallet because of some kid who thought it was a toy.

Grumbling, Kris dropped his bags in his room and went to play one of his favourite games, Silent Hill. While he was out shopping, he had seen many LED screens lit up and many posters in shops for the game that’s said to have created an uproar in the gaming community: Mirai.

Kris would be lying if he said that he hadn’t been excited for the release of the game too.

As soon as he had the chance, he signed up for the pre-order of the game and decided to play the demo. After much thought, he entered his name: KrisGalaxy00.

Soon enough, after hours of eating spicy Doritos and playing said demo, he heard a ping come from his phone, notifying that there was something that needed his immediate attention. Pausing his game, he read the email that had been sent to him.
