Our Liberty/play session

A couple days ago Pepper got stabbed by a buch of needles (no JK she was worked on by a chiropractor), so now shes feeling all nice and supple again. She had alot of pain/stress in her neck and loin. So she was a bit stiff lately. Now we got that all out and shes much more comfortable.

We have been working on turning her Jambette into the spanish walk. She's still a bit clumsy so she needs to learn to lift her front feet high (and gracefully) while walking forwards. She gets a bit stuck on it and kinda stomps and walks xD but we're working on it.

Here i kept asking her until she took those more softly steps. We also are starting to use the whip less tapping from side to side and just holding it up, while i take big steps as well.

Next we were working on our liberty circles, which has been going much better! She's curving more inward and is better in balancing herself, while keeping slack in the leadrope.

She had a hard time getting the concept of her galloping next to me, and thought because i was stepping forward with her, she had to stop and face me, so i reward for small bits where she'll canter without trouble for the smallest steps.

Here i rewarded her because she was bending nicely, and relaxing which was awesome.

She has been doing so well we ended the day with some play. This is a yoga ball i bought that i made a fleece sleeve for myself so she could bite and grab it.

I first made sure she was fine with me throwing it around and over her and touching it without problems.

She really likes to rub on the ball and bite it. We will work on it more to eventually have her pick it up and maybe throwing it around. Sometimes i will just throw the ball in the arena with her while mucking out her stable or after lunging so she'll be more and more comfortable.
