I Love It When I Buy Things For Myself

I GOT NEW STIRRUPS!!!!

I have been using the same stirrups that my saddle came with for over a year now, and they worked just fine when I wasn’t really competitive yet. Now that I am furthering my ion for gaming and adding some speed, the stirrups I have now are just too slippery and unsafe, my feet keep sliding out them, and that could be very dangerous, it’s caused me to eat dirt a couple times now. So, I figured it was time for an upgrade!

The ones I got are aluminum with a rubber tread, that say “Finish strong” on the side of them, way more suitable for gaming. I had the choice between “Turn ‘n’ Burn” or ”Finish strong” and I chose “Finish strong” first of all because it’s a less common saying, but also because it symbolizes a better meaning in my opinion, while going fast is important, and the phrase “Turn ‘n’ Burn” is a good reflection of that, finishing the ride strong is important too! Things don’t always go according to plan, you just have to keep your head up and well, “Finish strong!” Maybe I read too much into it, but that’s why I chose the phrase I did!

Hopefully they’ll be here by Friday so I can try them out a couple times before I race on Sunday!
