Hey guys! Just popping in real quick to ask y’all something! So, yesterday I ordered bell boots off Amazon for Flick. At a race on Sunday she hit her front foot with her back hoof and caused a little wound that bled a little bit. It’s not bad, and it’s already healing up, but I was just wondering if bell boots actually prevented that from happening? Because the whole reason I bought them was so anything below her heel bulb would be protected. I’ve never used bell boots on a horse before, and because what Flicka and I do is so extreme, I need to know if I should cancel the order and get something else. Thank you in advance for any help!
And just in case it makes any difference, the brand I got was Tough1. They were on the cheaper side but they had good reviews so those were the ones I picked. They’re also the same brand as the splint boots I use, and I really like those, so I figured it was a safe bet. Here’s a picture.
