:boom: Free Jumping Bella and Flicka! :boom:

The other day me and a few mates free jumped Bella and Flicka. To be completely honest the heights and technique these two used surprised me greatly!

╔══─ Preparing Them ─══╗

To get them ready, we brushed them thoroughly and put brushing boots on their front and back legs. Also my friends braided the ponie's manes which looked sorta cool :yum:

The method for getting them to jump was not to force or chase them too much. We made a small 'runway' with jump wings and poles (although Bella actually ended up doing higher than the side jumps :) I would lead either Bella or Flick to the corner of the arena at a trot and then let them go, asking them to speed up and jump it. We started very low, to warm them up, then slowly went higher. Flicka went first

Small disclaimer: if you ever want to do this make sure you do it right and make it a nice experience for your horse, if you would like some more info feel free to PM me. I'm not an expert but I can give you some tips. And the reason the quality is so cruddy is because my friend took them on her iPhone (for SloMo) and sent them to me through Snapchat.. so yeah quality isn't great 🤣

╔══─ Flicka's Jumping! ─══╗

Flicka was doing incredible jumps, and i was really proud of her, although we didn't go very high as she was starting to get a bit naughty :joy:

First jump ~ 55cm approx.

Second/ third jump ~ about 63cm approx. Look at that scope!

Fourth/fifth jump ~ about 70 cm, I had to run her up there cause she kept just turning around :joy:

This was the last height we did it was about 73cm, I was really proud! She could have gone higher but she is quite unfit so I stopped it there :joy: (and damn look at those rippling muscles :joy: )

╔══─ Bella's Jumping! ─══╗

Bella did absolutely amazing! She wasn't as excited or crazy as Flicka but she was still doing these jumps in a great way! I was so proud of the height she got to!

This was the first one, about 55cm

This one was about 76cm, she did it quite nicely!

This one was about 80cm, I was soo proud of her!

This one was around 87cm! I was very surprised she did this one, also it was the second highest slot in the jump wings :joy:

Omggg this one was the highest slot! It measured to around 96cm!! I was soo proud, we stopped after because 1. She had done more than enough. And 2. We couldn't physically go higher :joy:

This was so much fun! I'm definately going to do more of this, I feel like it will help boost their confidence within themselves. And just ignore our voices in SloMo :joy: we were getting pretty excited. I definately reccomend trying it with your equine pal!
