change of scenery :eyes:

hi everyone! long time no see :). a lot has happened in this period of time, and i’ve certainly got a lot to talk about. stay tuned, if you’re interested of course!

let’s start with patrick! he’s been doing so nicely these past few months. we’ve gotten a lot done and i’m super proud of both of us!

with a lot of flatwork and time, he’s finally gotten used to the concept of where to put his feet when jumping! it’s very exciting and I’m so glad he’s getting the idea. he’s so smart and has only been getting better.

recently we did a pole bending exercise where we needed to come down to a trot and switch leads each turn. we nailed it, not only first try but with long reins!

one of the adults that works with him has taught him a few tricks! he picks up things on command well, as well as hugs and a few other things. it’s super cute.

he’s been amazing for lesson kids too!

pintura has had a rather interesting few months. she had injections done routinely due to some of her leg issues, and she went lame. sooo, career change for the girly. she’s a driving horse in training now! i’ve ridden her a few times since but she remains lame unfortunately.

alright, the part you’ve all been waiting for. change of scenery you say? yup! my trainer is moving her horses to another barn! it’s a much bigger space, but i don’t know much yet. i’m really excited! it holds a lot more opportunities for all the horses and the other students and i can’t wait.
