2022 Fair Blog Pt.3: Saturday!

Welcome to part 3 of my 2022 Fair Blog series! Today we’re talking about everything that happened on Saturday! Let’s get started!

Saturday

In the morning we woke up and fed the horses like always, but this time instead of going back to the camper for a while, I hung out in the barns because I had Stockseat Equitation that morning. At about 9:00AM, I got ready, and then tacked Flicka up. We warmed up in the warm up arena until third call, and then we went over and waited at the arena. Once our class began, we entered the arena. Flicka was awesome, she was a very good girl. We got a blue ribbon and third place, I am so happy and very proud of myself and Flicka!

Then in the afternoon I had the rest of my gaming classes, 2 Barrel Flags, International Flags, and Texas Barrels. So, at around 1:00PM, I tacked Flicka up, got ready, and headed to the warm up arena. First up was 2 Barrel Flags, so, when Flicka and I were called, we entered the arena and made one of our best 2 Barrel Flag runs so far! Super awesome! I also want to say, hearing the crowd cheer is one of the best sounds ever, it’s such a great thing to hear when running and it truly puts Flicka and I in a different mindset. Super cool thing to hear!

Next thing was International Flags, and I was feeling really good. Flicka was being pretty chill, which sort of refreshing and worrying at the same time to be honest. All of my worries went away however, because when it was time to run, Flicka knew exactly what to do. We ended up running our fastest International Flags run yet! I was overjoyed, this day was going awesome!

Last class of the day was Barrels, and I was super excited. Flicka was being great, listening well. When it was time to run, I was so focused, more focused than I normally am if that’s even possible. I think it helped, because I was sharp and timed everything almost perfectly. It was such a smooth and clean run, it felt really good. It could of been faster, but speed comes with practice and experience. I am super happy with how this day went! The video is on my dad’s phone, so I’ll add it later if I can get it from him.

So, that was Saturday! It was a really awesome day and I couldn’t be more happy with how it went! I hope to see you guys in my next 2022 Fair Blog, we’ve only got one more day to go! Have an awesome day/night!
