Intro

Good day Epic amino! Today I bring you another art blog. This one is an entry for the #SpringArtChallenge! Go participate, there's still some time left :eyes:

I chose the prompt "springtime blossoms"! I love my boy Polites, and was obsessed with the concept of the lotus flowers when it was first introduced, so I decided to create something around this theme!

The plan

Let me spin you my tale of springtime:

My boyfriend and I were minding our own business, when we found some suspicious looking beans...

You have to agree, these beans look far from normal! So I thought, could it mayhaps be a seed of a lotus plant? My boyfriend was sceptical, but agreed to run a little experiment. We are after all students of science :relieved: . We placed the bean in a brown box. I called up Polites and asked him what the best course of actions was. He told me that the beans don't need a lot to survive. Just darkness, and maybe some earth. My partner set up a night vision camera and we went to bed...

The footage

I woke up at night to get some water, when I got panicky. What if the plant needed earth after all? So in the footage you will see the lights turn on for a second, woops

Was this also what Polites saw? If so totally understand wanting to eat it :joy:

Isn't this the most beautiful plant you've ever seen? We're gonna water it and try to keep it alive as long as possible. This was the perfect flowery start to a beautiful spring! Only one question remains... What if you eat the fruit inside?
