When this review is being written it is May the 3rd which means that the very next is officially Star Wars Day. As such it was only fitting that a Star Wars film be reviewed and as I don't want to watch any of the sequel trilogy films as they are a lesson in how not to make a good Star Wars film and i've already reviewed the good movie from the prequel trilogy it only made sense that I go back to the original trilogy and review the film that was originally the final Star Wars film ever made and so then me as I review the film that introduces an iconic Princess Leia costume with the film in question being called simply just "Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when The Emperor's new Death Star is newly built Luke and friends launch an all attack on the base in one final big to rid the galaxy of the empire once and for all. Now then in of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad with this films plot doing a good job of making sure that this is the final chapter of this story as it wraps up all of the characters plot arcs across all three films in ways that do feel natural and organic to who they are as characters and whilst the plot of the film could also be seen as being very similar to that of A New Hope there are enough new elements added to it that makes it seem fresh and new again with the tone of this films plot even being more similar to the lighthearted tone of A New Hope then the more serious tone of The Empire Strikes Back and while this film does have some more darker elements in it's plot even down to showing us the heroes actively kill someone it does balance it out with having more comedic moments as well which granted do feel a bit childish at times but given that these films where made more teenage boys and little kids and not for full grown adults is something that does make alot of sense and it's not something that takes away from the films plot either but it also doesn't add to it either it's just there for the sake of being there which is fine as it works for these films with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and a swell as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker , Harrison Ford as Han Solo and Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia Organa. Also starring in this film is Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian , Anthony Daniels as C-3PO , Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca , Kenny Baker as R2-D2 and Paploo , Warwick Davis as Wicket W. Warrick , Tony Cox as Widdle 'Willy' Warrick , Jeremy Bulloch as Boba Fett , Ian McDiarmid as The Emperor , Frank Oz The Voice Of as Yoda , David Prowse as Darth Vader , James Earl Jones The Voice Of as Darth Vader , Sebastian Shaw as Anakin Skywalker , Hayden Christensen, as Anakin Skywalker , Larry Ward as The Voice of Jabba The Hutt and Sir Alec Guinness as Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Now then in of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this film was in all honesty really good. This is something that's to be expected as alot of this films actors are or will become a bunch of really good actors in their own right with alot of them reprising their roles from the first two Star Wars movies and so of course they will turn in good performances in this film as they would have had the time needed to fully understand there respective characters and what kind of performance would best suit there respective characters in any given situation with it being obvious that Mark , Harrison and Carrie all have great chemistry together something that this film does take full advantage off by keeping them all together for as long as possible and because of that all of the fun that all three of them are quite clearly having on set shines through in the final cut of the film with the best actor in this film being really hard to choose from as there's just so many good actors in this film but if push came to shove then it would have to be Frank Oz as Yoda as even tho Yoda doesn't have that much screen time in this film Frank Oz really does make the most of it by turning in a performance that could make you cry as he's just that good in this film with the acting that's in this film really being helped by the fact that this films script is just so good that al this films actors have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance really will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

Doing the CGI for this film is the legends and the greats that are currently over at Industrial Light & Magic. Now then in of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CG that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With all of this films VFX not only looking really good for the time in which this film was being made but still holding up really well to this day and while yes the CGI musical number is a bit distracting and does take you out of the movie that's one bad a effect in a sea of great effects all of which doo still look good with this being due to the fact not only is Industrial Light & Magic one of the best effects houses in the film making busisness but also it's due to the fact that they blend the CGI elements which in this case is space itself with the more practical elements thus making the effect look seamless and while yes there other effects in this film the best ones will always be the ones that you don't notice like the fact that the ships entertaining the Death Star all have reflections on the floor which is such a great attention to detail as it's something that nobody would be looking at as there to engrossed with what's happening on the screen to look down at the floor and yet it's that level of detail that does make the effect in this film truly stand out with the same thing also being true for the ones as well as going to be that distracting CGI musical number you can see all of the detail in the characters face alot of which wouldn't have been needed as just doing the basic character without all of that detail would have worked just fine.

To compare this film to The Rise Of Skywalker for a minuet what that film gets wrong in of it's storytelling is something that this film gets right. As that film wasn't really building up to anything and therefor had no story that was worth telling where as here even tho yes just like with The Empire Strikes it wasn't all that planned out the makers of this film did know was to pay off arc that they had started since A New Hope be it Luke becoming a Jedi Knight or Han and Leia putting aside there differences and finally becoming a couple if there was a plot line that was set up in any of the previous two movies it was payed off by this movie where as with the entire Sequel trilogy very little of what they actually set up at the start of it is payed off by the end of it mostly because of the fact that Rian Johnson threw alot of it out the window for no reason thus meaning that when it came to The Rise Of Skywalker there was noting for them to pay off but the best example of this from this film is the scene with Luke and Darth Vader talking as when Luke starts to mention Anakin Vader either doesn't mention his name of of he does it's always done in the third person but as the scene goes on and the more that Luke starts to mention all of the good that the character did and how many lives that Anakin both helped and saved amongst many other things the more that Vader starts to refer to himself by his old name so much so that by the end of that scene without us the audience even realizing it Vader has started to refer to himself as Anakin thus putting the character back on course not only fulfilling the prophecy that was mention in The Phantom Menace but also on course to ing the light side of the force once again and it's that kind of very subtle storytelling that just isn't present not only in The Rise Of Skywalker but also in all of the Disney films as they just tell you what's happening instead of doing it in a more subtle and clever way.

While this film does have quite alot of things going for it it also has somethings working against it like for the example the fact that even tho The Emperor is a really cool villain he's one that's introduced far to late into the trilogy for him to have any major role in the story. As while yes he was introduced in the previous film his role in that film was basically nothing more then an extended cameo where as here he takes a more active role in the plot of the film which does seem a little to late to be introducing this main bad guy to the story as by now all of the chess pieces are moving to make that one big final check mate move but now suddenly there's this new piece thrown into the game which just doesn't work and while it was more then likely a result of the fact that these films weren't planned out all that well it is something that should have been stuck in A New Hope even if it was just a one scene only kind of deal as then us the audience would know that this character does exist but he's acting out more in the background. With the other thing that both doesn't and does work for this film being the Ewoks themselves as the idea of having this none technologically advanced species be the ones to take the Empire does work and the characters are cute enough to make it work it comes across as the characters being made exclusively to appease kids as they hit all of the kid character tropes including not having much personality between any of them and helping out the main heroes in there own more comedic way which does make them seem like cartoon characters and not characters that you'd expect to play a huge role in helping with the fall of the empire.

The one thing that was unexpected in this film was to see the death of beloved character Yoda as even tho i've seen this film many times his death is still something that's beautifully done. As everything from the writing all the way down to the acting just falls into place perfectly in that one scene so much so that you do forget that your watching a puppet pretend to die and start to see a character actually die and that is something that none of the other Star Wars films have managed to pull off as they all come across as being to forced where as here because of the characters more advanced age it is believable that he would die in this way with even his death serving as being important to the actual plot of the film as it's here that it gets confirmed that the "other" that Yoda and Obi-Wan were talking about the in the previous film is infact Luke's twin sister Leia something which does come back into play during Luke's final fight with Vader and yet it's not something that you really notice as your of course being alot more focused on the fact that a character that despite having not alot of screen time when compared to the other main characters but still left a lasting impact is dying with the scene just being played out beautifully and even the fact that Yoda just straight up shuts Luke down when he says that he is a Jedi does feel true to that character as he would know that there's one more test for him and that's to redeem Vader as only then would he truly be able to be a Jedi Knight and it's only then that Yoda finally es away and having the character basically die in his sleep was such a nice way for that character to go as it really did allow for us the audience feel the same emptions that Luke himself would mostly likely have been feeling in that moment as well.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly two hours and fourteen minuets and forty seven seconds. Which to be fair to this film is pretty much the exact bogstandard running time for these films and this film has more then enough plot there to really cover that amount of running time as well but at the same time tho this film really doesn't use it's running time all that wisely as the plot of the film isn't as fully developed as it really could have been which fair enough would have been really hard to do as this is basically the final the chapter of a story and therefor it would have been hard to fully develop the plot but at the same time tho the film doesn't explain key things like why do they have a base on Endor and why is that base so important for there shields to stay up and nor do they explain things like why is The Emperor building a second Death Star when the first one got blown up and why is he trying to convince Luke to the dark side these are things that are crucial to the plot of the film and yet none of them get explained and while it is understandable that the characters wouldn't be all that well developed in this film as we have the other two films for them to become fully developed characters it is something that is still an issue with this film as this films could have taken it's time to filly develop it's characters both new and returning but that's not something that would have been needed for the returning characters as we would have had the previous two films for that but for the new characters like Wicket for example , The Emperor and iral Ackbar that is important as they are key side characters in this film but I really will it that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is an action film that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With this films action being rather suitably epic which is something that does make alot of sense as the action does have alot of story to cover especially when it comes to the films third act where there are three stories all being told in various action scenes with one of them telling the story of the rebels on Endor fighting stormtroopers , the other in space tells the story of of the Rebel Allegiance trying to launch an attack on the second Death Star and the third with Luke and Vader and The Emperor as Luke is trying to win Vader back to the light side whilst also trying to make sure that The Emperor doesn't turn him to the dark side with that epic third act fight being the best action scene in the whole entire movie just due to the amount of story that's all being told at the exact same time and it does it all while still giving us some really cool moves from all of the characters involved and some nice comedy moments from both the Ewoks and Chewbacca as well and while yes The Rise Of Skywalker does completely destroy Anakin's own redemption arc due to the fact that they couldn't be bothered to create there own big bad and so they bring back The Emperor even tho it makes no sense for them to do so seeing Vader throw him down that shaft knowing that it could also cost him his life was such a cool thing to see and is something that does make that fight between him and Luke worth watching because of it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

When this review is being written it is May the 3rd which means that the

Overall while The Rise Of Skywalker was the official end of the Skywalker saga for now this is the film that really should have been it's ending as it gives a satisfactory ending that ties up all of the plots and loose ends from the previous two films and while yes this film does have it's fair share of issues it still is a solid ending to a solid original trilogy of Sar Wars films as it's just that good of a film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly an 8 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Star Wars fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images really from this very film being the really great the official Star Wars fandom wiki page this is really because of the fact that really all of the images that I really indeed got and really used from the really great the official Star Wars fandom wiki page are all really high quality really with all of the images that really are all and of course really currently up and on the really great and the really solid the official Star Wars fandom wiki page really are all being really fairly high in quality and as well as them all really being fairly high in definition and very happy May the 4th to all of you.
