Shifted to 2009!! Another shifting story

Ok so... this is another one of those shifts to the wrong reality i had back in 2022, and i only ed it now bc i saw this ad for a netflix series about a kpop trio who are demon hunters (???) and it instantly reminded me of THAT shift. So im back to yap about the past again.

Like i had completely forgotten about it bc i didn’t write it down on notion like i usually do, but luckily i spammed my online friend about it at the time so i was able to dig it up. (side note: insta’s search is so trash, like it only shows snippets of convos and i had to literally use my own keyboard smashes to track it down piece by piece, it was like solving a mystery lmao)

the shift

Date: 1 jan 2022 (wild)

Dr i was trying to shift to: my skz dr

Ok so it was like 8am, my family was being loud af (new years morning, so ofc) and all i wanted was to lucid dream and shift. I managed to get into that half asleep state where your brain just floats and starts dreaming and i ended up in this house full of girl, most white. and then an arab girl came up to me all friendly like “oh, another woc! we’ll be friends, you’ll see ^^” and she just took my hand and led me outside to a garden, and that’s when i realized i was dreaming, it was getting way too vivid.

So i was like ok this is my chance, lets SHIFT. i imagined a door behind me, turned around and boom, there it was. Super realistic and rusty and old looking. I stood there for a sec affirming about my dr, then i opened the door and stepped through.

Suddenly i was in this black void, like literally nothingness. I felt my cr body again, it was moving on its own and i just let it. Then i felt like i was standing? But i kept my eyes shut bc i always mess things up by opening them too early. Growth.

And then... i heard people laughing. two voices, they sounded masculine and feminine, so i assumed it was minho and hyunjin bc i had scripted them to be there. And at that moment, with my eyes closed i literally thought “wait... is this it? did i finally do it? is my shifting journey over?” It was emotional until it wasnt.

I finally opened my eyes and i was in a bedroom that looked similar to my dr room. And then i caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and damn i looked SO cool. like it wasn’t my dr exactly but damn. I had my cr face but i was wearing a beanie, had this messy short mullet (it wasnt exactly a mullet, but i explained it like that to my friend back then since mullets were popular kdmxjd it was a more shaggy hairstyle, very cool though), freckles, and that thick 2010s eyeliner... even under the eyes. Rodrick heffley vibes ngl. i also i loved my outfit: green jacket, dark jeans, very edgy, like the accessories and all. Honestly i was just staring at myself like damn ok go off.

Mirror moment aside... i look over and there were two asian girls chilling on my bed, so yeah, definitely not my dr. They were the ones laughing, and their style was so good. It gave me the vibe of a rock band, which im pretty sure was what was going on.

They looked at me like “oh you’re finally awake” and i was still confused af, like who are you?? where am i?? so i just blurted out “what year is it?” totally panicked bc i needed to know if i messed up. They stared at me like i was joking. In my defense, it was 2022, my dr was set in 2019 jxnx so i was wondering if it was my dr but i didn't know these people.

I think i looked really scared or something bc one of the girls looked at me all serious like “are you being fr right now?” with a deep voice. She was so pretty btw. And i wasn’t even sure what language we were speaking at that point, it wasn’t english and i couldn’t tell if it was korean or japanese. I gave her my best “yes i’m panicking” face. The other girl laughed and said something like “haha don’t worry, i forget the year sometimes too” and pulled out her iphone, like one of the tiny early chunky ones.

I snatched the phone bc i was spiraling but of course it was locked. EMBARASSING HONESTLY. She laughed, put the in and the date said: 11/01/09

IT WAS 2009.

The deep voice girl was like “it’s 2009 in japan” and i think she was kind of mocking me but also thanks for the info queen. i did every reality check i knew and they all ed. so yeah it was a shift. just not the one i wanted but cool nonetheless

they were actually super chill tho, and the whole vibe ended up inspiring the girl group dr i made a year later.

I think i stayed for an hour-ish and then came back.
