respect readers. they're human beings with a brain, heart, and mind just like your own who take the time and energy out of THEIR day to do a reading for YOU, whether it's completely for free or a shop order.

also: if you are someone who will talk, be nice to, guilt trip, bribe, or get close with a reader just to get readings and such from them, you are a horrible person. plain and simple.

now, let's talk about shops, specifically ones that offer divination readings.

respecting the rules of a shop.

imagine yourself in the shoes of, let's say, a shufflemancy reader, and they decide to open a shop to practice their skills and get ac (amino coins) in return.

you open this shop with a few simple rules attached: fill out the form provided in the comment section, pay when you tell them to, and do not comment after the shop is closed asking for you to remind them when it's open again.

at first, everything's going great! the first few people followed directions, and their orders are completed.

after that though? disaster left and right. people aren't using the form you put out, resulting in them leaving out info you need, they're paying beforehand with the expectation that you'll get to them right after, and about an hour or so after you close your shop, you get a few comments that go along the lines of "aww, I missed it 🥺 I know you said not to remind you, but can you post something or pm to remind me when you open again??".

since you decided to be lenient with everyone's errors, you spend most of your day working to get people to correct their order and return coins, leaving you absolutely no room for you to complete any other orders, mental exhaustion, and a horrible mood.

do you now see why shop readers are so specific and "strict" with their rules? it is because of people like this. they have to deal with clients undermining their rules by not following them or asking them to be nicer about them. to make things worse, some even have the sheer audacity to go back into private chats and pms to complain and shit on the reader because they rejected their order and talk about how they were "too rude" or "mean".

now, I get that sometimes we have accidents or make honest mistakes, and that's completely okay. however, if you're constantly doing this with the expectation that the reader will be understanding and okay with it, you are completely in the wrong. you are not entitled to a reading, and if it is so important for you to get one, learn how to do readings for yourself (coming from someone who doesn't have any, yes, it is possible to do divination without any divination tools like incense, candles, crystals, etc., there are still alternatives you can use. many, many forms of divination out there do not require a card deck as well), get a reading in the divination chat when it is open, or wait until another shops opens.

as for the people who do the bare minimum and give readers the respect they deserve, thank you. y'all make our days so much better after hours of dealing with disrespect.
