Manx is the endangered native language of the Isle of Man, an island between England and Ireland in the Irish Sea. It’s a Gaelic language that it is very similar to Irish Gaelic when spoken, and a fluent speaker can listen to an Irish Gaelic speaker and understand the conversation in basic .
I grew up on the island and still live here, and was sent to the only primary school and preschool where Manx is spoken all the time, and every subject, aside from English, is taught in it. This one primary school and the few preschools are bringing back the whole language from the brink of death, and even sent a letter to UNESCO after they classified our beautiful, historic language as dead! I recently did my GCSE equivalent in it and ed with an A*, so rest assured I can teach you everything you might want to know! I also know much about the history of the island, especially some folk stories and legends.
Soon you’ll be speaking like a Manx celt :)
