Hey peeps, it's Jimmy and welcome to season two, of Dr. Jimmy. I'm excited to be working on this series again and I'm excited that there will be a few changes, good changes I might add. For some of the episodes, I'll be interviewing special guest to help get into the mindset of these characters. I'll still be doing the research myself, but I'm hoping that you peeps will enjoy this next season. Today's patient is Dr. Jonathan Crane aka Scarecrow. Dr. Crane used to be a psychologist, so this should be a interesting episode. Also, I'm not a professional psychologist and everything in this blog is my opinion. So, without further ado I hope you enjoy.

Dr. Crane's origins are very similar in each version, so I'm going to talk about his origins from Batman/Scarecrow: Year One. As a young boy, Crane lived in Georgia with his great grandmother. His grandmother was abusive and would often lock him in a abandoned church where crows would attack him. As an adult, he tried to move on from his past and worked at a university as a teacher. He was later fired after his teaching methods were deemed unsafe.
Crane became the Scarecrow, seeking revenge on those who did him wrong. He shows that he has an obsession with fear and uses it against his enemies. We have a lot to dissect, so let's start with his childhood.
Childhood
So we know that he was abused by both his great grandmother and bullies from his school. He fears when his grandmother forces him into the church and locks him there over night. He hates the crows and developed a fear of them. This would suggest that he has Orinthophobia.
What is Orinthophobia?
Ornithophobia, or fear of birds, can take many forms. Some people fear only birds of prey, such as vultures, while others are afraid of household pets like parakeets. We know that Crane is only afraid of crows, since those were the birds that his grandmother taught to attack him. Psychologist would try to treat this through exposure therapy if possible or if the case is serious enough, they could prescribe medication or treatments for this phobia.
While there could be a case made, where Crane has PTSD from his childhood, as an adult he doesn't show any signs of PTSD. He talks about it with his boss in a calm manner, he never seems to lash out at his boss when talking about those events. Now let's talk about his adulthood.
Adulthood
During his career as either a teacher or a psychologist, he develops an obsession with fear and begins to test it on others. When he's fired, he blames his superiors for this and seeks revenge. Now, I can't link his obsession with fear to any actual disorder. It's just a simple obsession which he takes to an extreme. It's possible that through therapy, Crane could let go of his obsession with fear, but I'm unsure.
My diagnosis
I believe Jonathan Crane, may suffer from Orinthophobia and possibly PTSD. But that's just my diagnosis and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
The End
That does it for this episode of Dr. Jimmy, I hope you peeps enjoyed it. I have to say it's good to be back. You can expect the next episode to come out next Tuesday, the next guest has such a killer aim  . Now there's only one thing left to do, we have to send Dr. Crane
