Blog theme- Frozen because I feel an array of emotions when I watch that movie.
Hello! Today is the second day of the Spirit Wars. I've been having a great time so far, so I thought I would this past weekly question as it fits the theme emotions. Antonia posted the original question on March 14th of this year. Enjoy!
Some books or series that made me feel contradictory emotions
I feel like almost every book could be the answer to this question. I'm one that feels a lot of emotions when I read a book. For my top three books of the year, I wanted to use this prompt. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid was a mess of contradictory emotions for me. I was happy because the character of Monique was getting her shot as a writer, sadness happened when I was reading about Evelyn's life and how much happened to her. Joy happened when I was reading about how Evelyn and Monique bonded and how they both made it through the hard times in their lives. Anger happened at the end of the book, I don't want to spoil the book for anyone, but if you have read it surely you were angry at Evelyn as well. Romanov by Nadine Brandes is an Anastasia retelling, and I was so happy because this setting of this book was not Space as it had been with the last two books I had read. Happiness was in this book because in the beginning of the story, the family was enjoying their lives as much as they could, going contradictory to that, sadness was in several parts of this novel but the first time was hen the Romanov's were shot, I know that's a spoiler, and going in I should have known, however; this doesn't mean that I wasn't feelings sadness when the scene happened. I felt joy because Nastya, Alexei, and Zash kept fighting back against all odds, and anger was felt because of every single action the villain in this novel did. Comics Will Break Your Heart by Faith Erin Hicks had me feeling two of these four emotions. I was so happy when Miriam and Weldon, the two main characters became friends and got together. Sadness happened when Weldon's family said that she might not the best person for him because of past issues with the two families.

Book and character to specific emotions
A book that causes me to feel sadness is A Court Of Thorns and Roses by Sarah. J. Maas. Now, this is specifically about this novel, not the whole series and this is actually one of my favorite series. This book causes me to feel sadness because of how Tamlin treats Feyre. I don't want to go into detail, in case someone reading this has not read the book, but I will say that Tamlin is the Beast in this Beauty and the Beast retelling. The character of Cath from Fangirl makes me feel both happiness and joy. This is mostly because I am a lot like her, and I relate so much to her as a character. Also, this is my favorite YA contemporary, and so I will always feel joy and happiness.
Current Emotions and my writing process
The next part of this question is for writers and I am a writer and an avid reader. My current emotions do affect my writing and my process. When I am feeling stressed, I will either not write for a time because it is stressful to even look at the screen to write a blog or a chapter in a story. This is bad because I have blogs that I need to do both professional and personal and I have deadlines for those. For my stories and fan fiction, I try to stick to a schedule, so when I'm stressed I don't write those either. When I am happy I find that I can bang out a few blogs, or a few hundred words of a story and I will just go go go. when I am happy my writing is better than it is when I or stressed.
